nervous
i decided a couple nights ago, with the nudging of a friend, to finish something i started 20 years ago. for a creative writing class, i wrote a short story. now, 20 years later, i have edited and re-written parts of it. When i first started, i drew the illustrations to go along with the story. oh, did i mention it's a children's mystery? now that i'm into my 3D stuff, i am going to learn to make my own models of the main characters, and illustrate it that way. i am so nervous about it, i have butterflies in my tummy. never did anything like this before. i've been burned before, so i'm scared that i'll do all this work (creating the models from scratch) and have some publisher say they aren't interested. i suffer from depression, and the thing that scares me the most is that i'll do all the work, get it printed out, thee publisher won't like it, and i'll spiral down lower than i've been before.

As a weird word of warning - publishers are basically evil ambulatory phlegm. Their opinion of your work should not be allowed to interfere with your own sense of self worth! They WILL ignore your submisison - but screw them! Keep trying, and also look at the ways you can simply step around the bastards and publish yourself. Lulu, Kindle - they're all making publishers quail in fright.
hehe...thanks hon...i'm just so nervous about it...i'm sure it'll be worse when i get everything done n ready to publish

There are many many more examples I could list up myself, but I want you to know this, hun.
You are worthy of letting your creative expressions be published. And if only like 10 people will buy the story, it's at least 10 people you gave a nice time out there. *snuggles the kitten*
The ads on the bottom should be blocked out, but other than that the site is safe, if a bit easily addicting. You have been warned :p
As for publishers, do keep in mind that a lot of well known authors have been turned down hundreds of times when they got started, so just keep at it and don't give up.
