Well - mostly dragons. Any quadruped beastie-thing mainly. Anthros I'm a *bit* rustier at, but i might try and get a few of those out.

Auctions, in my opinion, can get a bit out of hand since people will go crazy and then you might feel as though you're indebted to them to draw more and more to make sure they get their money's worth! I would recommend the flat buyout option, that way you can set an amount you feel comfortable with. Certain people will always have an advantage of spotting the journal/spot quickest and be able to do a flat-buyout if they want, but... that's the way the game is played, sometimes! First come first serve.

I'd draw poses you enjoy, too, that way you can go into the situation feeling confident and won't get bogged down by what goes where and how many limbs have to be sticking out and such!

I also like the fact that sometimes you're just randomly put together with other commissioners you don't know. It's kinda like speed dating with characters, only skipping the dating part. XD

3 different artists I've seen have done like 24hr or 48hr auctions, short term gives benefit the bidder doesn't have a week or something to spend the money then end up short, and also they get the results faster instead of 'commissioning' the art bid and then waiting a week before it even gets started. It's also long enough that bids don't get too out of hand but does allow for people who get on at different times of day to put in a fair offer toward it.

I agree! If auctions go for too long, I know I at least tend to forget about it or go 'Oh I'll check back later' and never do. I think if I do an auction they will be either 24 or 48hr, like you said!

Well, for someone like myself who needs the money like almost right away I put an option for buyout.

Maybe make it so thaat the buyout is a tad bit pricey so thatt people wouldnt get all butthurt about losing a spot they really want.

I think this seems like the best idea! That way if someone SUPER DUPER wants the spot they can have it, but chances are low someone will actually just buy it out on impulse.
