I can understand where that goes though I've kind of had the opposite effect.

Female friends have actually grown closer to me because I came out gay. (obviously right)
THREE of my male friends have since come out as bisexual and confided they wished we could have had sex with me in High School
One of those friends got married after knowing a girl for three or four months and had only once messed around on her with another guy.

I guess politics might enter into it, but most of my friends have had similar stances with me in not putting all our friendship stock into our political arguments.

No No..nothing about gay rights...it had more to do with our future options of presidential candidates. Sure, gay rights figure into it a little but due to the opposing views of those two main people running against each other..but more that as trite as it sounds I don't want to be associated with someone who would well...support Mitt Romney.
