Thank you for sharing this. I forgot how awesome he was. Even if he did have scary hair, and that I could never manage even a 'happy accident' art wise like he could. (thing was, i was only a kid, and obviously he had YEARS of doing that on me at the time).

I learned that he actually really hated that hairdo, but he knew that it made him stand out and made him memorable. So he didn't change it because it became his trademark. So, he suffered with bad hair for good business sense. XD

I also learned he used to be a drill sergeant in the air force. O.o When he got out of the military he vowed never to scream again.

Thank you for the added info, longtail. (I didn't know any of that, but yeah if it made him memorable, i guess he went with what worked? even if he didn't like it?)
