Terraria Dedicated Server?

I just found out there's a Dedicated Server program available for Terraria, and since my gaming PC tends to be left online all the time anyway I thought I might as well have a go of hosting a server.
I started playing it again recently after a couple of other friends just got into it for the first time.
I've played about 30 hours on my latest world, and I'm currently getting ready to tackle Skeletron and the Dungeon.
I'm not sure if I want to host with my current world or start a new one specifically to share with everyone.
If I host with my current world I run the risk of people wrecking stuff or bringing high level characters in and killing the Wall of Flesh before I'm ready for Hard Mode, so I'm leaning towards starting a new world, but then again, I'm pretty attached to the progress I've made in my world and don't really want to throw all that away.
However, if I get a few enthusiastic players it shouldn't take too long to make good progress in a new world.
If you have Terraria and would be interested in playing on my server then leave a comment here to say if you think I should use my current world or a new world, and I'll get back to your with the IP and Password details once I make the decision.
Edit: I've decided to start a brand new Large world for this now.

Edit again: Server will be offline on Saturday afternoon and most of Sunday since I'm taking my computer to a friend's place. Should be up and running again sometime on Sunday evening.
Edit yet again: Server is back up now and should stay that way for many days to come.

I've gone in and built a little starting base to keep the guide NPC safe and give new players something to start from.
I'll send you a note with the details of the server.
LOL, if you've been digging for Demonite it's no wonder you've been going for months. There's very little demonite to be found in the ground. The main source of demonite is as a drop from killing boss the monsters the Eye of Cthulhu and the Eater of Worlds.
With a nightmare pickaxe you can now dig through ebonstone(corruption), obsidian(water+lava), and hellstone!
Sounds like you're about ready to dig down into hell!
My server is back up again now and should stay up for many days to come, so feel free to pop in and have a look some time.
