That really sucks to hear. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to lose all that work. But it may be wise to keep a copy of the scripting/coding on a backup harddrive (I was working on some html project a while back and every few days I would copy my current version to the external, then delete the old version after the new version successfully copied to the external HD - so I always had a backup copy in case something happened to my actual copy).
