Ive had my nexus one for a couple years now, and its starting to break down. Slow, memory is full all the time (its not got much space...) and shutting off randomly, freezing up, etc. Not to mention its just plain old, old enough that its not supported for new android OS updates at all, so...
Im going to be looking for a new phone! Preferably NOT an iPhone, though that could happen due to other circumstances... But I really want another Android phone. So I'm looking for advice, or thoughts, on what good phones are out there. Or what is coming out that I should possibly wait for? I really REALLY want a physical keyboard, which means a slide phone most likely, but I wont say it MUST have a slide if there simply isnt any decent ones out there.
So, any advice? Android phones, go!

Now for Android phones I could recommend the HTC Desire Z, it's a bit bulky but you get a physical keyboard with it, and it's a slide phone (I can't think of an Android phone that has a physical keyboard and isn't a slide phone actually!).
The HTC Desire I really liked apart from the lousy virtual keyboard but I expect you are more adept at dealing with it at this point than I was back then. :>
Of course, if you want a new phone to have a new gadget, I've had good luck with my samsung nexus s! The Galaxy nexus has also gotten some good reviews. The problem is both of those DON'T have physical keyboards, but I admit I'd rather have a slimmer phone and use a different virtual keyboard like Swype.
There's always the Nokia 900 as well if Windows 7 phones intrigue you at all!
Im actually running cyanogen mod on my nexus one right now, installed it after I had issues with connectivity and it has helped, a bit, but not fixed it entirely. ICS was never supported on the Nexus One though because the hardware just isnt up to snuff, not powerful enough to run the new OS. I might be able to find some hacked version or tweaked version of it for Nexus one's, but the problem is still with the hardware, instead of the software, I think. I think.
I really worry that I will end up getting a new phone, and two weeks later something fancy and shiny and newer will appear!
Something to look into, it's not the best resolution in the world so you won't be watching HD videos on it, but if you only need a phone for the occasional browsing, IMs, texts and calls and e-mails, then it's a handy little device and it's far from being expensive too, I think you can get it brand new and unlocked for something like $200.
