I can’t believe I have less than a week before I go on my trip. Aah! I’m so scatterbrained. Aside from already missing Crow and I haven’t left yet, I still have things to do before I go anywhere. Add that to the stress of the next HTH update, and our house is crazy.
Since I’ll be traveling soon, I thought it best to let you know what the status is of my stories. With the change of seasons taking hold, my body pain has returned. Some days I can’t type, others it’s just constant stiffness all over my body. I'm very grateful for my tens unit, and to Mar and Rex who bought me replacement pads (I <3 you). I often rely on my speech-to-text program in times like these, but using it when I’m staying with my father will be difficult to say the least. I doubt his Jehovah’s Witness sensibilities will appreciate hearing his daughter describe furry sex acts in detail. :/
I know my story posts have trickled into a dribble. After posting the last part of Aello I’ve had trouble getting back in. It’s not like I don’t know what to write, I’m just not satisfied with what comes out on the page. If you’re not a writer, I’m sure that sounds like the silliest thing you’ve ever heard. However, if you are a writer, I bet that sounds familiar. Fortunately I have other projects to work on. It keeps me busy while Aello sits in the back of my mind. I know what happened. I just got a bit overwhelmed with the scope of the story. This one little side story has turned into a full blown novel, and I wasn’t expecting to tackle a novel, so it’s thrown me a bit. My over-critical perfectionist comes out and stifles me. I either succumb to it, or distract it with something new. I prefer the latter.
At least in the meantime I finished a magazine submission and have continued work on another. I’ve since outlined the next three stories for the Bestiary, and I’ve fiddled with the fourth. This way, if I get a chance to write during my trip, I won’t have to look in my Encyclopedia for reference.
After I get back at the end of September, I’ve seriously thought about opening up for commissions. It’ll just be one and only a short story, so in the 5-10K word range. I’ve had this on my mind for a while. I like the thought of taking on a single commission at a time. This way, I can’t get overwhelmed, and I can focus on giving the commissioner and their story more direct attention. It also leaves me available to continue to work on the Bestiary project and HTH Studios. Something to note for anyone interested in a commission, all of my cover art is done by Crowchild. So not only will your commission help the studio, you’ll also get icon art with your name credited as the story creator!
If you’re interested please drop me a note or leave a comment. I’d love to know if there’s any potential in my idea. I’m still debating the price, though I’m open to your thoughts on the matter.
Thanks to all my new watchers! I can’t believe there’s over 1000 of you now. Wow! Thanks to everyone, from the new folks who found me recently, to the very first who found me way-back-when. Thanks to the frequent commenters, and the lurkers, and everyone who enjoys my work. Each of you keeps me writing. Without an audience my stories would gather internet dust.
Your readership means the world to me. ^^

Great news on the magazine stuff. I hope you find a lot of success there ^^
Thanks for well wishes on my submissions. I'm so nervous, but I hope it turns out. Writing is always a welcome distraction to waiting. ^^
I'm glad you enjoy my stories and can at least remember them fondly. That's always a joy to hear. ^^
and also have a fantastic trip
I'm sorry to hear about the pain being worse, but I'm happy to learn that you have ways of coping with them, that makes all the difference.
About the commissions, they sound interesting, to say the least, but I have no clue how it would work, you'd probably know better than me, though color me interested!
And about not being satisfied with your work, though I don't write, I get that sometimes when drawing a mech, there's just something missing, or at least off, but you're not sure what. Man, that's frustrating.
