Chai
Chai is not a character I use often but she was created as an auxilliary fursona when I was first developing Emberli. Embelri is my purest self. We are a mirror. If I could act like I wanted all the time, I'd act the way Emberli acts, ultimately. We are self-centered, cock-sure, assertive, know-it-all, holier-than-thou, snarky, snide, cursing, spitting, strutting punks, big into music, big into petty vandalism, activism, unity, and the like. But when it really comes down to it, there's still a little part of me that made me go to college for environmental science/wildlife rehab. There's a part of me that gets choked up about animal rights, about energy policies, endangered species, and beautiful natural things. I collect orchids and bromeliads ferchrissake...
So Chai was born. She's my flower child. The part of me that doesn't fit with the ideal pure self that Emberli tries to be. Because Emberli doesn't want to be a granola head... So I have Chai for that.
She's a free spirit, a bit absentminded, her emotions flow easily, and she is a bit easy, though not at the expense of reputation. She has a number of random tattoos, though they are likely to change somewhat as I work with her more, most notably a couple of large teal swirls both on her back and on her thigh, and a ring of leaves on her left breast. Like Emberli she does maintain the same piercings that I have in reverse. She does not have a regular beau (the way that Emberli has her regular men), in fact, she doesn't really get into long term relationships, its too much like an anchor, and she's a little too free for all that nonsense.
I don't use her often. I have lots and lots of random characters that I like quite a bit more, but Chai seemed an important character to make at the time that I made her, when I was first trying to figure out who should represent me and I'm fond enough of her not to want to let her go.
