So I recently got a promotion at my job at QVC. I'll now be a full-time control room operator instead of a freelancer for them :) Dave told me that he wanted to take me out to celebrate my new promotion! Aww! How cute, right? :p But I'm still working my freelancing job until September 3rd, so I'm still working the Prime Time shift this week which is from 5PM till 1AM. It's a BIT hard to go out to dinner when you work during dinner time :p

So because of this I suggested that maybe we should push back our dinner-date till next week, when I start my new job and will get OFF work at 5PM instead of start my shift :p Lol Dave panicked a bit at that suggestion, and said no that we had to do it this week! lol So I had off Yesterday (Monday) so we made plans that we would do it Monday.

Monday came, and Dave made reservations at The Trattoria Giuseppe, which is a VERY nice Italian restaurant in our area. Now I thought that this was a BIT too fancy for a little dinner for a promotion, but hey, Dave's a classy gentleman and treats me very well, so I didn't really read too much into it :p

Because our reservations were for 6 we had some time to kill in between Dave getting off work and the time our reservations were for. So Dave came over to my parent's house and we sat on the couch and watched some TV with my parents.

Like I always do, as we were sitting there together, I tried to wrap my arm around Dave's arm and hold his hand. A very normal way for us to sit and watch some TV. But Dave's arm was GLUED to his side. Like I mean this thing was NOT budging!! lol I gave him a weird/ worried look and called him a spazz, we both laughed and he let me hold his hand :p lol Idk, I didn't read too much into it either. He did mention earlier that he had a somewhat stressful day at work, so I counted it up to that :p

We later left for the restaurant and had a nice car ride over there :) When we arrived, Dave explained that he had made reservations for "Dave Werner" and we were lead back to our table. It was in a secluded small romantic room in the back of the restaurant. We were the only ones there! It was very nice :)

Our waiter told us the specials, and left us alone. I started to look down the menu at all the amazing sounding food. Dave had other plans <3

Like the absolutely amazing and perfect gentleman he is, Dave came over to me and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was all I could do to hold back my tears of joy and excitement and love <3 I, of course, said yes and we hugged and kissed :D I must've smiled like a blithering idiot the rst of the dinner cause I was just so happy O:)

The other waiters saw and quickly spread the word throughout the staff and we had a number of people come up to us and congratulate us :)

What I didn't know at the time is that Dave actually paid my parents a visit on Sunday while I was at work. He asked my parents for permission to ask me to marry him <3 AWWW!!! That just means the world to me <3 I'm just so old fashioned on a lot of things, and that's one of them :) That shows me just ONE of the ways of how much Dave cares about me <3

So yeah, I will remember last night as one of the best days of my entire life <3 I'm just the luckiest girl in the world to have Dave in my life and I'm so excited to spend the rest of our happy lives together <3 :D
