I had one of those they can hurt, Also I had a filling done today and it was killing me after the freeze wore off.

Yeah that's what happened, the stuff wore off and pain flopped down like a sweaty snorlax.

Oh I'm sorry you are feeling the pain as well. It is weird because my mom actually went with me yesterday and got a root canal as well. Something obviously went wrong with mine for the amount of pain I was in. I know they hurt I have had one before, it was a front tooth though, and this was the bottom back molar, last one. Anyway, my mom had a molar done and was NOWHERE near in as much pain, and ya gotta remember I am on a pain management regiment for my neuralgia pain from the brain surgery. And the amount of meds I took yesterday should have knocked out an elephant, and it didn't touch my pain at ALL.
4 straight fucking hours of agony...SUCKED.

Root canals are no fun. I went to an anime convention once without knowing I needed one. I spent the entire four day con in pain. So I balanced my time. I'd spend time at the con till the pain got to the point that I couldn't stand it anymore, then I'd go back to the hotel room, get a bag of ice and place it on my jaw under my cosplay mask and take a nap for an hour. I'd wake up with the ice melted and my jaw numb. Lather, rinse, and repeat. But yeah enough of my rambling. I hope she feels better soon.

that is kinda what I did last night ALL night. The thing that sucked is I didn't NEED the root Canal. I had a weird cavity form dry mouth on the side of my molar, so the Dentin was exposed but it wasn't causing me pain or anything, occasionally yes a piece of food would get stuck or something, but it wasn't bad. The reason they did the root canal is a freaking joke. Basically because it was like a trough with the dentin exposed the dentist could NOT clean out the Decay without hitting the nerve, so they had to remove the nerve just to fill the cavity. If that ain't ass backward I don't know what is.

And yeah my mom got one done yesterday and had a situation similar to yours, she had an abscess, and she can't take pain meds, so she was miserable until it was fixed, and I was fine before and am now miserable.

yesah me too, I'm still waiting on the cessation of pain and the healing....it;s been 2 tears now and I have had a total of 2 days pain free....

you ain't kidding! I swear..it seems to never freaking let up! Just when I think I am getting better something new hits, or everything hits at once. I am going to TRY and do some art today. I HAVE to have a special side project done by the end of the month, so we'll see. But it just kills me, I don't care if I have to sit at the computer in pain to make the arts or dance in the studio , teach or perform in pain, it;s when it;s bad enough that I have to go to the ER and the staff treats me like shit, THAT sucks. Or just when I thought I have felt the most painful thing of my life, something new comes along to bitch slap me.
Ugh
I am so tired of it. And there is NO medication I can take. I am already ON a pain management regiment, and it ain't doing shit lemmie tell you. It sucks. And The medicine is bad for my body, I might as well go ahead and sign up for the transplant list now for a new liver, but knowing my luck I would get one and be allergic to the fucking anti rejection drugs...
