Car broke down the other day, so I decided to take a bus to the store. Riding the bus is no different than riding one back in Japan, but there was one thing that was missing that made it not feel the same- porn. Back in Tokyo were I lived with some friends for a little bit, it was not uncommon to see porn on one's daily commutes. Business men would have one out to read, the nerds would be grinning ear to ear while gazing at some big breasted girl getting tenticle raped by some demon in a hentai comic; and teenage school girls would giggle at a scene in a yaoi they all would be reading together. Porn was basically everywhere, and there wasn't any shame in it. Here in the U.S. though, its quite different. I miss walking into a convince store and seeing a N-17 hentai sitting next to a women's gossip magazine on a rack. And just today I learned that an adult store in a town not too far from where I live was shut down. They say it was over the store selling faux weed, but I heard the chirstian community of that town dislike an adult store being within their town; so they complain until it is made to close. Friends here say it won't stay gone for too long, since they that store was the fourth adult store to be built in the area in six years.
