This soloution is usually used for older IE browsers, but does Ctrl+F5 fix it? (That forces a hard refresh of the page). Another thing is it may be in a GET loop, try clicking back (or Alt+←) twice quickly.

I use 7 and have had very few problems with chrome.

intel core i7 2GHz
8 GB ram
Radeon graphics 2GB
solid state hard drive

what I do If I cant figure something out. I look it up.

I dont use chrome because it interferes with many things on my computer and complety disables updates

I use Firefox the most and have almost no issues with any site.

At work I am forced to use IE and for a bit I used Mozilla on my Linux box. Then they took away the proxy server to give the Linux network access to the web.

firefox is nice when it's fresh installed. but gets very slow very fast.
and it has issues playing flash for me. [takes forever to load] [like longer then the actual video eg. 4 minutes]

I also have a problem with flash on firefox and have reinstalled flash and firefox. what happens is my flash just crashes if the youtube video is longer than about one minute

I see no real advantage AMD has over Intel.

As of recently both of the companies processors are pretty equivalant. There are some studies out there that say that AMD is better at graphics and that Intel is better at calcualtions for a majority of studies have shown that they are basically the same equipment. The only difference is that AMD is cheaper for the processors and the motherboards

I have personally experienced slightly better reliability with Intel than AMD.

I am the opposite actually, I have had more intel processors die than AMD

Very strange...I get a lot of failed AMDs, mostly Athlons and Durons in older PCs. Perhaps the reliability is changing?

I couldn't even get flash apps to play; video players like Yt, audio players, flash movies, games, nothing. I fixed it by downgrading to an earlier version. Try googling "downgrade flash" for instructions.

I know it happens as you are going back to the exact same page and sometimes it forgets that so keeps returning you to the same page, its stupid but there is nothing that can be done :(

always happens to me too, I just go back to the top of the page and click back on the numbers and scroll back to the journals again. Sometimes it works for a while and then it stops again. I think the platform FA is on is probably optimize for IE and nothing else, cause it only happens here! Even happens on my tablet. I have just come except that one extra step of going back to the journals page from the header.

its very annoying responding to everyone in this journal, or picture i post, when i cant click the back button. like you, i have to drop down the back menu, and pick 2 pages ago.

yea my firefox/waterfox has problems with videos as well. i cant find one browser that is good for everything .

i guess you just gotta deal with it, open up the picture in a new tab and do what you gotta do and when you finish, close the tab. Its pretty much how I use it.

Finally, someone who knows what's going on. Kinda. I always use tabs for everything anyways, I think it has to do with submitting a comment and submitting of said comment voids the previous page, somehow, thus requiring to resend or refresh. So, tab stuff in.

try click the back button again, i have the same issue and thats what i do.
clicking it once after ya comment on something just takes it back to before you make the comment (thats what i find anyways)

no matter how much i click it. it keeps looping from before the comment, to after the comment.

Weird.... Another Chrome user here, and I've never had that issue. -shrugs-

the only problem i have with firefox is 1. it gets really slow after about 1 month. and 2. it doesnt play videos well. they are all choppy, and laggy [once they load after 5 minutes of waiting]

both of those have to do with your bandwidth, and how much is loading on the page, and how many temp files you have from going to sites, CCLEANER helps with the temp files and Adblocker helps keep all the ads on websites from loading. iv used firefox since it came out, chrome does look nice, but firefox gets it done

i use adblock
i keep my temp file, and cookies clean
and videos play find in chrome. just not firefox.
i like firefox. just not for videos.

Also the load on the processor since Firefox is somewhat resource hungry even without plugins.

In my experience, this isn't really an issue unless your machine is more than ten years old...

Have you only ever used high end computers? Mine is three years old and has that problem.

My main computer is a 2005 Dell Optiplex GX620 with a P4 running at 2.8 GHz, and 3GB of RAM. Not high end by any standards, and it has never had any speed issues with Firefox.

I have used Firefox from version 1, and have never had major issues. It's always run fast, it's been the safest and most reliable browser I've used...and I have run them all at one time or another. I always came back to Firefox.

I get the same issue too. It happens because the link you click on has the comment ID thing in the URL, so when you post your comment in reply, and then click back, it has the comment ID still inthe URL, so it turns into a never ending loop...though when I first started using Chrome, this never happened. It's only happened since a few updates of FA ago.

I've not had this issue, I use chrome.

Though, in addition to another person's comment about Opening in a new tab, you can open a link in a new tab by clicking it with the scrollwheel on your mouse.

Well, my first suggestion would be to clear your cache and delete your cookies, this could help fix the problem, if not, reinstall Chrome.
Otherwise, straying from solving your current situation, you could do what I do, I simply open a new tab whenever I see a comment or something of the sort and reply, then close the tab and go back to the previous tab where I was before.

Also, this could be caused because when you comment, the page redirects you to itself so to refresh and show your comment, it may work to hit back twice or three times to bring you back to where you were before.

Happened to me, too.

It might be a Chrome issue. Did you try googling the problem? There might be a fix in the next version. There might be a patch.

Honestly, I never thought it a good idea to comment then use the 'Back' button...this usually screws with any browser's train of thought, so to speak. If I do anything that modifies a webpage, like posting a comment, I always either do so in a new tab or window, or use another link on the page (like my username on FA) to get back to where I want to be.
