Really. Trippy. Dream. o.O

You know how you'll have a bad dream, but it won't be a nightmare? Like there's no fright involved; it's just unpleasant? This morning I woke up from what was by far the worst fucking dream of my life, but now that I'm out of it I think it's interesting.
A bit of back-story regarding me and dreams: I've always had rather long, detailed dreams, and in a lot of them I'm half-lucid and/or I have senses other than sight/hearing (ie: taste, smell, and loads of tactile senses such as pain, texture, temperature, pressure, etc). Those other senses have been a lot more common the past month or two, whereas they used to be very rare.
Anyhow, this was one of those dreams where you wake up from a dream, but you're still dreaming. I have these on occasion, but usually they don't happen more than a time or two or three. This one lasted a good two-dozen or so, no exaggeration. By the time the first half of them had gone by I was so fucking desperate to wake up that I didn't even give a fuck what the dream was. It's not even that the dreams themselves were bad; I just wanted out. "Hey, guess what? We're throwing a birthday party! There's going to be cake and stuff!" "I DON'T GIVE A FIDDLER'S FLYING FUCK ABOUT YOUR MOTHERFUCKING CAKE. I'M TRYING TO WAKE UP." (That example was indeed one of the dreams, btw. lol). Some of them were obvious from the get-go and others took a little while before I remembered what I was doing, and sometimes I "woke up" right away and others I had to struggle for a bit in the dream.
The worst were the last two. Plenty of the dreams started with me waking up in my real bed, but those two tricked me. In the first one I "woke" and thought to myself, Fuck that shit. I'm getting out of bed so I don't fall back asleep. So I got up and soon noticed an inconsistency (namely, I wasn't wearing the same thing I had gone to sleep in). The last was probably the most disturbing. I woke, laid there for a moment looking around to make sure everything was how it should be, and noticed something that I've never had in a dream. You know when something is close to your face and you're looking past it, and because your eyes have different views of it you see a second one that's see-through? Yeah, I had that. So I took a few deep breaths (another detail I don't think I've ever had in a dream) and thought to myself, Finally. I'm back in reality.. So I got up like last time and went into the bathroom. After a moment I paused and was like, Let's just be 100% sure before I use the toilet, so I went to the sink, turned it on, put my hands under the cold running water, and then remembered that in the dreams I couldn't move my mouth (probably because my face was pressed to the pillow or such). So I tried and FUCKING HELL.
So then I FINALLY woke up for real. Clocks make senses again, text isn't gibberish, and (most importantly) I can move my mouth freely. Oh, and let me save you the joke: "Actually, you're still dreaming. LOLOLOLOL." Haha. So creative. I'm going to go have breakfast now. Goodbye and good-riddance to that fucking dream. For the first few minutes after waking up I was actually notably disoriented.
PS: No, I was not on drugs last night. My brain is just fucked up. lol

FA+

I hope you got at least got some rest with all of that. :/
I had woken up earlier this morning and then fell back asleep (at which point I had this dream) so the majority of the night was normal, luckily.
To dream that you attend a wake refers to your grieving process. You need to find closure. It is okay to seek the support in order to help you get through a difficult time. Alternatively, the dream suggests that it is time to celebrate the positive qualities of someone who is no longer in your life.
To dream that you are waking up in your dream indicates that something is missing or lacking in your life. There is an aspect of your life that you are not utilizing to its fullest potential. You are not recognizing your abilities. The dream is literally telling you to open your eyes and wake up! Alternatively, waking up in your dream may be a signal of a lucid dream.

who knows what goes on in our heads. Write some of those down, mebbe we can make a warped comic together or somethin haha.
I've actually worked a little bit on a comic based in a character's dreams. The general plot is that she suffers from nightmares, and she's trying to become a lucid dreamer so that she can overcome them. Many shenanigans follow. lol
My favorite dreams tend to include monsters (partly because more often than not I am the monster lol). Things like getting attacked by vampires and hunted by demons and such end up being more fun than is probably healthy for me. ^^;
