Working on a fursuit
Hey guys.
Sorry I haven't been uploading as much lately. I've been spending my free time on a few other projects, the latest of which is a Hellkitty mask. If I manage to finish it I'll post some pics.
Aside from that, my schedule ought to be less busy soon. I've been hanging out a great deal with a friend who was here for the summer, but he's headed back to school so I'll be spending quite a bit more time at home. This ought to translate into more art being finished, though I can't say for certain (especially with homework being a bit unpredictable).
Anyhow, wish me luck on the mask. I'm notorious for being so perfectionistic that I can't finish the damn things, but I've worked out enough tricks in my past attempts that this one might actually go smoothly. lol

FA+

are you gonna make a full suit or just a mask?
That would be kick ass!
Yes, wings are on the agenda too. They'll probably come before the paws. I haven't figured out how I'm going to make them yet, but I've got a few ideas that will hopefully prove to be viable. ^^
Exciteds
DreamVision has good bases, or so I hear. I may get a fan from them for the head in the future.
DreamVisionCreations is my current maker of choice. I haven't seen one of their bases in person, but they've got loads of species/breeds in multiple sizes and sell pretty much all the parts to go with them (nose, tongue, jawset with teeth, resin eyes that can have LED lights, etc) and they'll even put it all together for you for a small fee (including hinging the jaw and making the tear ducts out of which you see). I got a quote from them in February or so and I think they said they'd charge $25 to do all that, which would save me a lot of hassle (and perhaps even money, depending on the price of the clay stuff the tear ducts/lips are made out of).
I'm not trying to fangirl over them or anything. If I found a better resin base I would probably use it instead. But the services they offer are quite handy. I figure if I order the parts from them there's no shame in having them put it together as well, as much as I like the idea of making my own mask.
They do, though. I think they have horselets and draglets and birds :33
I actually got a blank with a balaclava already, the elastic attachment, and the tear ducts ready, but I have a already made jawset, eyes, lips, and a nose, and I'm furring it and everything. I know how to do everything else, anyway. I'll have to add the ears I made, and foam everything to my liking, but otherwise, I don't have to do any actual construction of the base. Thas nice :3
It is pretty convenient, though. I do want a fan from them because I know nothing about wiring or that technical stuff.
I'm a seamstress, not an electrician x3
