Mostly aimed at pointing out and correcting the flaws of professional artists who feel the need to bring out the sexy in every female character, even if it means breaking their limbs apart to get that "butt & boobs" shot!
I feel like going through my own gallery now and try finding if I also made a lot of these mistakes! I can name one image from the top of my head, at least... okay 2, then.

Recently when I cosplayed a video game character at a local con, I noticed trying to stick out my ass like she does while slightly tilting to kinda look over my shoulder at the camera (the pose is viewed from behind) nearly broke my back lol
But hey. Who doesn't love ass & boobs ON THE SAME TIME?
So what if some fictional characters fall apart! :D
I'll add though, there's a time and place to be sexy, during a fight is not one of them.
OH JAPAN!
Sometimes I ask for things on purpose lol.
As a female, feminist, that just got her degree in comics from SCAD, I've argued about those kinds of poses a lot with classmates.
When I try to draw something action-oriented, I'm always thinking "does this make sense? Does the angles of the chest and hips work together?", while professional artists try to bring out the sexy poses as much as possible to up the sex-appeal of their work ;C
In contrast, the same can be said about Tim Balent, but I found his 'Tarot' Comics (what I read) at least funny, especially stuff like snow flakes to cover nipples ot the situations the male main character gets into. Or why does a witch (one who doesn't have a strong nudity taboo) standing nude before a female dragon have to cover her breasts (but not her crotch, which was not visible in the picture)? Hilarous.
Or a line from a comicbook here in Belgium, where a character also wanted to be an artist (mangled the sentence to make sense without the image): "I know I've got a hidden talent, but so far I've been better at the hiding than the talent."
It's impossible for me to go professional with my work purely because I lack the drive, courage and will for networking and getting my name out there. I assume Rob Liefeld was very confident in his work, despite ripping off ideas from other talented artists and IP's :p
About everything else... Let's say I understand. I know I can write (or will after some practice) better stuff than what some what is on sale at the moment. I am slowly getting over my inner self-critic and begin to write. As I am without a job for a while now, becoming a writer is actually a better prospect for me at the moment than the chance of finding a job.
Aside from this, I found this one very inspireing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikAb.....layer_embedded
He is in the writing business for about 30 years, so he kows a bit what he is talking about.
