Predictions

Hello everyone and welcome to the circle,
Last night's broadcast of
's radio was about predictions in its various forms and questioned the possibility of predicting things.
So, in order to open this topic up for the rest of the group, we thought it would be interesting to add last night's questions to the group.
1) Do you believe predictions can ever be 100% correct every time for anyone?
2) Which methods of prediction do you find the most viable?
3) What do you believe would happen if you were able to see the future exactly as it would be?
4) Would you consider psychic readings to be predictions or spirit communication?
These were the questions posed in the show, so let us know your thoughts on the subject. We're interested to see what'll come out.

2) Not sure. I think I put some stock in tarot.
3) I would be paranoid, afraid to leave my house for fear of preventing a positive future or bringing about a horrible one.
4) Prediction.
2, I find simple yes or no questions, most viable because its a 50/50 chance of getting the right answer
3 I'd keep it to myself because sometimes just knowing the future causes it to change, and sometimes trying to warn someone against it, may actually cause it to happen the way it was seen.
4 depends on the info they provide within it, if its something they person couldnt possibly know, like the particular brand of perfume a dead relative wore, or some other fact that's not public knowledge its spirit communication, otherwise its mostly predictions.
2.) it really depends on the person, like our bodies we are all diffrent and so we have diffrent ways of being able to predict
3.) this is a tricky question cause no one (that i truely belive) has that abilty now if you could then it would be a very dangourse thing.
4.) depending on the person again, if they are sitting there and get a vision or a feeling id say perdiction, but if they are asking questions or using objects then they are calling apon something to help them awnser the question
2. Dejavu, you have predicted it, only now you realize it
3. I would keep it to myself and know that there is a reason for me having such an ability
4. Both
No, because the future is many branched and every single flow of time is existing next to each other, yet you cannot see all the possibilities at once.
2)
Probably dreams. Because you enter into a state which is the closest, apart from comas and death, to the spirit world, many different time flows are open to you. you can see glimpses of the past, the present and the future at the same time, as well as what could have been.
3)
It would never happen, because time flows have not been branched into yet. BUT, if it were possible, if the person tried to change anything, it would be very destructive. Because say, you see an event, and then change it. You have changed everyone on the planet who will ever hear of, see, or know of the choice.
4)
Depends on the reading. Both
1) No, I don't. Since the future is -in my opinion- constantly changing and also very easy to change, there's probably no chance.
2) It's hard to say if any method is really viable. But if I had to pick one, I suppose dreams would be the most viable. Because no one really knows where we might travel in our dream state. And it's very hard to manipulate dreamvisions while things like cards might provide sufficiently ambiguous answers for that purpose.
3) I believe the person who would be able to do that would end up depressed or something like that, since the inevitable nature of those visions would make them try to understand why they were having those visions and what they were supposed to do. Not unlike the movie "knowing" only instead of numbers, they would be visions.
4) Both. If someone were to ask what the future was going to bring, the reading would become a prediction. And if someone asked for a general reading about themselves or a situation, it would turn into spirit communication.
> Of course not. Future change, yes, and lot of people use cards, or spirit to ask. They not always tell the truth. Even if you know them a lot.
2) Which methods of prediction do you find the most viable?
> When a lot of people see the same thing.
3) What do you believe would happen if you were able to see the future exactly as it would be?
> I would not. Well, even if we kind of know about it a little, that doesn't make us knowing the pure truth here. So we go with what we see or think that is good.
4) Would you consider psychic readings to be predictions or spirit communication?
> depends. People ask spirit for thing, other cards (wich is a different 'spirit' here, more like a force), some its high sphere people that come deliver message, or other magician/mage/sorcerer/sentinel that do the job.
There's more then just what we see here, down here. And its complicated too, since other world can tell things, some people can say something to their advantage, other can try to say the truth.
If you're looking for accurate prediction, and just seeing the future of the world, you should do it with many people, sharing, and not thinking just on the surface, dive in, there's more then just what you can see!
1) I wouldn't say that, in general, predictions can be 100% accurate if by that you mean that you can flip a switch, have a prediction and it be accurate - what seems more common to me is that some people who can recognize when a prescient truth crosses their awareness can call it up and express it. They don't come when bidden, it's a matter of recognizing when they have come, and working to ensure you don't end up intruding yourself on them when you give them voice. So, in that subset - when it's a truth come unbidden, when it's someone who can realize that, and when they can take themselves largely out of the picture while expressing them, yes, I think those have very high accuracy.
2) I've used Tarot off and on for a few three decades now, and find it to be quite useful. For me, it's a way of allowing myself to access my own intuitions through a shared language of symbolic reference common to many human minds.
3) I've found that when that happens to me, it often allows me to get a better understanding of why things are happening when I watch the events play out, because I was fairly certain how they were going to occur and could spend more time watching the interplay of coincidences and personalities.
4) I don't think there's a good enough understanding of 'spirit' for me to answer that one. Certainly everything I've ever seen going on that strayed from those things readily explainable with a mechanistic, scientific view of the universe has ended up, at least to me, to be well within the capabilities and understandings of the people they happened to. I just don't think that disproves outside action, especially since I may simply never have seen something from outside those individuals taking action. In my personal experience of psychic readings, though, I'm fairly certain that all of the intuition and reading comes from inside me and not from without. Since I don't ask for intercession, that would seem reasonable either way, yes?
Signal to noise ratio and all that.
2) So far i have not found a single method thats most accurate, though admittingly when it comes to divination i am still a novice.. as a warrior on the astral though i am an expert. Some have called me a psychic tank of sorts, dealing with paranormal combat when spirits go haywire. I think tarot has been accurate for me on that front but i still have yet to see some questions answered. Especially when it comes to the warrior side of me, and the war we are all facing in that relm.
3) I am honestly not sure, it depends on the nature of the vision. Double edged sword eh?
4) Both things come into account here, again, it depends on what answers you wish to seek.
Especially since knowledge of the spirit world might well be needed.
Though your views may be scientific, they are your own and therefore just as valued as any other presented here.
The ideas you've presented have offered some "food for thought" as they say and I appreciate this from all members.
I'll be looking forward to your ideas about the subjects which will be posted here and discussed in the radio stream(s).
Thank you again for your contribution and I hope to read from you again
They are usually in weekends (mostly saturdays, sometimes sundays or fridays) and start at approximately 00:00 GMT+1. I have no real idea when this is in other timezones, but the internet should provide answers there.
They've been bi-weekly up to a point where life got in the way (so to speak).
I'm trying to do them at least once a month though.
1) Do you believe predictions can ever be 100% correct every time for anyone?
- I don't think 100% accuracy is possible because of the amount of extenuating factors. Too many variables can influence events, even something mundane can have ripple effects.
2) Which methods of prediction do you find the most viable?
- Tarot works well for most, or a pendulum over a witching board type of thing.
3) What do you believe would happen if you were able to see the future exactly as it would be?
- Panic. Really. I don't want to know how, where, when someone will die. Now, if we were talking horse racing, I'd keep that to myself and rake in the cash! LOL If I could help others, like diagnosing people who have an illness that needs treated, yeah, I would do that, too.
4) Would you consider psychic readings to be predictions or spirit communication?
- I have been to two psychics for quick readings. One person was very off base. The other had a spirit guide who was pretty good. A coworker of mine lost her daughter in tragic circumstances. The coworker went to a local psychic who immediately asked her, "Who is this young woman, Karla? Karly?" Coworker's daughter was Karly. She only said hello to the psychic when the woman asked about her daughter.
A)No this is because of the universal laws.
2) Which methods of prediction do you find the most viable?
A) I use the method of conversations and observations in time.
3) What do you believe would happen if you were able to see the future exactly as it would be?
A) I would try to prepare for it or change it.
4) Would you consider psychic readings to be predictions or spirit communication?
A) I would prefer to do energy reading these predictions because psychic readings are kind of stupid because we are being the metaphysical energies.
1) No, I don't believe in fate, I don't even consider time a reliable concept for spirituality. That being said, I don't think anything is 'written' anywhere and bound to happen, everything is constantly changing so it is not possible to hit the spot all the time.
2) Quick analysis of data by our brain. As a psychologist I did study a lot of the human brain and what I can say about it is that it is one awesome 'machine', with a lot more capabilities and processing power than we can put our fingers at. No matter how much I read about it, I know I barely scratched the surface. Long story short, we gather much more data about everything than we can analyze with our conscience, but 'secretly' our brain is working on all that information and eventually giving us results that on first analysis look like instant, but that because we were not able to follow the processing. I confused my own self here, I hope I wasn't unclear .-.
3) If I knew I'd face all that happened in my life and around the world I'm not sure I could keep my sanity up, I'd end up suiciding myself.
4) Mostly spirit communication :)
PS: Nice group, I hope I can make myself active and enjoy it!
