Rain Rain Go Away. No Borderlands 2 Today.
I dunno. Bit bored. It is raining here, thunderstorms and the power goes out WAY too easily in this house. I was playing on my PS3 as the power went out. I mean yeesh. I don't play my PS3 and it's calm and quiet. The moment I turn on my PS3 to play, thunder starts to rumble. It's like I am being told "Don't you dare play your PS3".
Yeah, my TV and PS3 and of course PC are in a surge protector. Still, I feel that can't be good for the PS3 and such to shut off suddenly in the middle of play like that. So I guess no more PS3 for me today. Tonight? I dunno. The blasted weather site is all inaccurate to say Cloudy, only to change it to T-Storm a few minutes later. On the whole, hourly forecast. So yeah... I dunno.
I got Borderlands 2 on PS3, as I said in past journals. Been playing that. But as of yesterday, nope. Because of the rain. Today I tried and well, what I just said there just happened. But man... do I suck in there. The aiming is TERRIBLE.
Now for a small rant...
Borderlands 2 on consoles, at least on PS3, the aiming is BAD. It feels as if all console games that having aiming, do aiming ALL WRONG! It's like they settle for good enough and leave it alone. No more thought or effort into it. It feels like there is no prescaled smooth aim going on. It seems to skip around too much. Too much jerking. When I play Doom 1 or 2 on my PC, there is this option that says "pre-scale mouse movement" and I turn that on, it makes it move smoothly. I turn it off and it is too jerky. So I believe that is what is going on in Borderlands 2 on consoles.
Now some of you may think, it is the PS3 controller. That may be part of it... but not all of it. I have played Saints Row 2 and 3 on my PS3 and the aiming is PERFECT. I mean it is very smooth and accurate. Probably the best implemented aiming system on a console game. I was able to headshot and all that so easily. But every other game I have tried on consoles... Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone, Bioshock, Dead Space, inFamous, GTA IV... pretty much all of them do it WRONG. Now that I think about it, I think they all lack that pre-scaled movement or something.
So yeah... I dunno. I have turned off Aim-Assist in Borderlands 2. That is another thing they do wrong. It is very noticable. In other games, I know they have it, but you can't really tell. I think it slows down once on a target and sticks a bit. But Borderlands 2, just like in the first game, it is like a magnet and sticks too much, and if another target gets in the way, it will move off your aim. Plus it keeps trying to aim at their chest, making headshots harder to pull off. I kept turning it on and off and I dunno. I am so terrible at aiming, mostly when someone is way up close. Just... bad. Mostly that too much jerking around or something... bah.
So anyway I dunno. For those who have the game on console, do you turn off Aim Assist? As well as your thoughts about anything else I have said here.
FA+

also sorry I havent spoken to you or awhile, usually just popping on the comp for a bit here and there.
And I know you? Sorry, the name doesn't ring a bell. I don't have good memory, mostly with ones that I haven't talked to in a long long time. I tend to forget their name and all that such.
and I dont think you really need to worry about feeling like your cheating, by level 12 I had found an orange pistol that shot faster than most smgs and had unlimited ammo, the game isnt really meant to be serious imo
But yeah all these cheaters with duping weapons and keys and all that... I mean what fun does one get out of the game when cheating? It takes away all the fun factor if you can just breeze through the game.
I guess I never added you on PSN or something, I dunno. But yeah eh. To find an orange pistol makes me think you cheated with that. Either got it duped or something. I am still early in the game btw, way early. I have played for about 25 hours and I am still at the start of the game pretty much. So yeah.
With Co-op though I dunno, I rather it be with someone that we do everything together in there. I don't want it to be that one of us does missions while the other goes on and next time we play together, they are 5 levels higher than me or something. So yeah eh.... hmm. Just that whole, single player character for use, and one meant for Co-op. But then there is that whole, having the same times to play together. When I am free, he ain't. Or when he is, I am not. So eh... I guess I may never experience Co-op.
once you get farther in it does get challenging with just the shear number of enemies that can be thrown at you at once (try fighting a boss flying around in the air while two badass scags are running around on the ground)
you wanted to talk on im before adding me to psn so we never got that far and yeh I can understand the bit about not playing at the same time, i started a siren wit a friend played that one night and then havent played again since.
and i don't cheat, there is no point playing if you cheat, in fact I even screwed up and used my one and only golden key at lvl 9 >.< so want another one and know how I could get more but dont
