Back and Ready for Action!

Hello My Friends!
Ok it is a new month and I am officially BACK.
Wow the last couple of weeks of September were Nutz there huh...whew!
Oh yeha you don't have a camera in my life..ok I'll elaborate...
So I have been workign to get off the pain meds (YAY) and I am now at every 6 hours 3 x a day, and starting to drop the middle dose soon. I plan to be off of them by the 10th. That is my goal. so YAY still for that.
I am noticing changes that are good, and some that are bad, but we are still working it out.
My BFF came down from Virginia to hang for a week. it was MEGA fun. We went to Homasassa to see the Manatees and such and ZOMG CUTE!!!! We got there RIGHT as it was time for their morning num nums...and we got pictures!! they are SOOOO freaking cute! I was like taking pics and sending them to everyone I could on my phone. (yes I will post pics) We also saw gaters, a Hippo, Birds, wolves, foxes, the panther was hiding, Bobcats, GROUND OWLS (CUTEE!) and got to take a cool boat ride and such. It was awesome. Only $10 to get in and just really awesome park. I am going back on my Birthday to see the Wild Manatees, and it is now my goal to pet one in the wild. Weird fact...it is against Florida Law to lay more then 1 hand on a wild Manatee. They can come to you, but not you to them and you can ONLY lay ONE hand on them. Weird...Imma use both hands..I DARE them to send me to jail...
Ok NEXT
We also got matching tattoos...normally something I would NEVER agree to, but A we have been friends for a LONG time, like coming up on 10 years. The tattoo we got also looks like a cursive L, and both our names begin with L, so if things go south, we have a back up. and she got this WICKED hand drawn crumbling stone heart..it is truly a stunning piece of art. And whilst there I learned my tattoo artist who is WICKED good, takes apprentices, and for free none the less...so...hmm....I am definatly considering it!
Then off to the DANCES OF PERSIA AND SILK ROAD @ DAY INTENSIVE!
wow.. just wow...
I have been Belly Dancing for 13 years, and how I have NOT done this style before is beyond me I LOVED it. It is almost worth completely switching over. The woman who taught it was an Ethnologist, Anthropologist AND archaeological, so she went through the spiritual reasons for certain things AND the scientific. SO the knowledge itself was just amazing. The dance of the Peacock was by far my favorite and I am working on getting the actual original peacock dance music. Hummingbird was a little nuts, but still cool. I did like 5 Solos...Poetry in motion about the Lioness Warrior who lead Persia and the Persian Army into controlling most of the middle east (they learned to fight by watching lions, scared the piss out of the Greeks and Romans) Then we did a sacred candle dance, and I did the final solo in that and Blessed Farima (the instructor) on the stage to Do the Whirling (as in the whirling dervishes kinda whirling) Whew that stuff is intense! I tried the whirling, and I could go on ALL day.
Anyway, then I did my own solo, a simple drum solo but I am VERY pleased with it. THEN I lead the last group number, AKA was first on stage doing Tribaly stuff until the other dancers marched out. Then we did a more Folkloric dance and ZOMG that was freaking fun! And Don't even get me started on the General that went to France and fell in LOVE with the Tutu and Decreed that All of his Kingdom would have to wear Tutus. And there are pics of this guy in FULL battle ready armor..with his Tutu on.....I WILL find a pic and post the link..promise..
I was just informed that we are going to do another intensive in 6 months and it will be a retreat so probably a week long thing. AWESOME!
So yeah a LOT of Persian Dancing, from Classical to present day, to Folkloric and back again. I can't remember hardly any names, but if you are of Persian Decent, and want to know if I learned any of your native dances, feel free to ask! I will know the name once I hear it! GAH so excited!!!
SO yeah that is what I have been doing for the last 10 days or so. Today is my first sort of day off. I have a Dr appt, but then will be posting Videos and pics from my adventures. YAY!
SO yeah, I MAY be creating a new character form the ancient mythology of how the Peacock came to be. I am super stoked. I WILL be streaming tonight so people can see what their pics look like, the state of done ness, and I have a LOT of new stuff to offer once I get finished.
SO YAY!!!

FA+

I never really thought of manatees as cute before; but then, I've never seen one in person, so there y'go.
It sounds like you had a blast at the Persian dance intensive! (It also sounds like the Grand Canyon is a bit of a hole in the ground.) ;) Way cool.
