I honestly didn't see anything like this coming. It certainly wasn't my intention to bring anyone down or bum anyone out, nor was it my intention to co-op the identity of another fur. As far as cases of mistaken identity are concerned, I'm not sure that will be an issue. Not only does Scooter live in another part of the country and we do not attend the same cons, we have never attended the same con. The differences between our suits have been pointed out. I have my own established identity and name, my YouTube has a humble number of hits approaching 9k that I will continue to build on with my own content. Scooter has his own projects and style that are vastly different from my own. Scooter is Scooter, I am me, and there's not really any mistaking that.

Now for the suit itself. One specific opinion expressed in the comments of Scooter's journal is spot on (haal's). While I was certainly not even aware of Scooter's existence when I settled on gray squirrel (which was when I first entered the fandom) or even when I decided to get a suit (I had talked with another maker first), I knew very well this first suit was going to be the only suit I ever own. When I saw Scooter, it seemed like a safe bet to go with a maker who had proven herself very capable of creating an outstanding squirrel. Scooter's suit is amazing, and it was a little too much money to gamble with, to throw at some other maker and hope things turned out good. Those were my reasons for commissioning a gray squirrel with Lacy & Nick.

So I reach out with empathy and apologize for any rough feelings this has caused. I just want to make stupid YouTube videos and have fun.
