PSO2 JP update: Subclasses, Very Hard mode, Level cap BOOST!
The moment most of you have been waiting for! The update which adds TONS of new stuff to the game. Including:
-Level cap increase to 50.
-Subclassing
-Very Hard mode
-RUINS
Now, a note about these two:
-New 10* items!
-Level 11+ disks!
....these will not be sellable in a Myshop. You heard me, ALL of PSO2's 10*+ items and disks over level 10 will be Bind on Pickup. This means people are going to have to start working for their rares. This will also keep 9* items valuable, as they are the best items you can currently purchase from others, new 3* and 6* aside.
Additionally, vendoring items will be nerfed. That's right, you will now get LESS meseta for selling things to the vendor. The only things that will not be nerfed in sell value are 1* items, and they will be boosted. This is to help new players starting out. So what is the purpose of all of this? Inflation. Players are winding up with absurd amounts of meseta ALREADY, mainly from vendoring items found in hard mode. You think myshop prices are bad now? If they hadn't done this, Very hard would have utterly destroyed the economy.
Now, does this encourage players to buy premium or Myshop tickets? Sure it does. It practically forces us to buy them now if you want anything. But, honestly, if you've been going the F2P route since the game started, you've already gotten a LOT for nothing. If the game doesn't produce revenue, it dies. If it dies, you can't play anymore. Myshop tickets are only 700 AC, which is 700 Yen, which comes to about $9 as of this post. You get 30 days. Still less than World of Warcraft.

wish i could play the game but translating it will be the biggest problem for me. i had problems with the demo they had early in the year.

Though I personally do not condone the use of such things, there IS an English patch out for the game. It is a fan-patch, but it does translate just about everything from what I've heard. All it doesn't translate is item names supposedly. I do not havea link, but a quick Google should point you in the right direction.

Ehhh. I'll wait to continue in December when the supposed official English version will be out. That's rumor that I've heard, but better than nothing. Here's hoping.
