*blinks confused* hey everyone um... what's a Weasyl ?
I keep getting these dozens of messages in my journal posts of people running off to better, and greener pastures over the fence somewhere called Weasyl. now my best guess is that it seems to be an Art/story/ etc maybe even rant website like Furaffinity (don't flame me i only say Like because I've been HERE *points at FAs website* so long and this seems to be more recently made.)
it seems a little odd to me right now that a website you need to recieve e-mail invites just to get an account for it but i suppose its a great 'filter system' against alot of people that the site may not want as members *shrugs*
either way please give me your 2 cents about this I really am curious as i don't know all the details I only have my own theories and I prefer facts... so give me all the infos... well at least as much as is needed to give me a proper idea.
Cheers and love you all.
*hugs all hir loved ones and friends*

FA+

That said I have no idea why a website is getting a beta test anyway, at least a public invite one, but there you go.
I don't know about people abandoning FA for Weasyl, but it definitely has a couple nice features that FA doesn't (folders, better layout, streaming notifications, etc.). I guess it's supposed to be a general art site, but the emphasis is definitely on furry.
The way they handle commissioned artwork uploads is kinda weird--you aren't supposed to upload it directly unless you're the artist, who then invites the commissioners to add the image to their "collections". I still haven't quite wrapped my head around it, but I think it's one of those things that'll work better once more people get onboard.
(I like the folder option)
it´s a promising artside but so far I prefer FA
I'm checking it out and so far it seems alright. It has a new feature of asking a friend request for artists, as well as a watch list.
I assume it's just the social-media frenzy of something new for the masses to chew on...
so you maybe onto something my friend *rubs hir chin* as they say the grass is always greener on the otherside of the fence.
then again i tend to add to the end of that "until you actually get there and see it for yourself :P
