In our school there's only 1 guy who's openly gay and nobody have asked such a thing :D I am kind of his friend, never hang out but yeah, nice guy :) But I have to add here that he is bullied too ... sad and The Head of our little school said: " I could be his "bodyguard" or a "Supporter" " :D I was like "Okay! I can do that" :D

It's a sticky theological issue here in the US. But people are coming around... slowly... slooooooowly... :0)

That's great! Coincidentally, I told that college friend of mine through Facebook. SHE WAS FINE! I felt unbelievable after that. She said she was honored I picked her as my first to tell. (Outside of online friends, of course.)

It helps a ton to get people under your belt like that, doesn't it? It was like a scale, and the more important someone was, the heavier they were. And when I told them and they reacted well, I shifted em over to the other side... and after a few, all of a sudden it was easier to tell others. And it just kept getting better.

Never fully easy though. Ugh! People are weird!

Ah, I did head to Alaska! It was great fun, lots of (freezing) adventures! I'm actually staying here in CA this semester but I"ll be back there again this January (right in the middle of winter, lovely). Things have been okay. Going back to basics and went back to my first love, which is music. Actually had a recital today and it was fun. Otherwise, just getting ready for classes to start up again! Thank ya for asking.

I'm good... about to start my first year teaching full time. I'm gonna be teaching high school Language Arts for freshmen and juniors. It all hits next week... this week was meetings, and they SUUUUCKED! I've been feeling crazy overwhelmed... and MEANWHILE my boyfriend is in Washington DC playing in the gay softball world series this week. And they're doing great! AND I'm missing it... Ugh. I'm whining now! I just miss him...

This journal helps brings my spirits up about coming out to other people. But still not enough to come out to my parents, ESPECIALLY my dad
but this is still very helpful, Im glad you put so much effort into it X3 so how are you so far being open to everyone?

I know you wrote this 6 months ago, but I ended up getting all wrapped up in life and got distracted... To answer though, stuff is pretty good! My brother and his family are the only family who are still working through it, but they're making good progress. Otherwise, it's weirdly easy being out... most people here just don't make a big deal out of it at all... buuuuut, I'm in the Pacific Northwest, and this is apparently a pretty easy going place for stuff like this...

I've been doing pretty well thanks! Telling people is tricky... and tough... and crazy scary... I say take your time with it. No rush! You can't UN tell people, so take your time. That's the advice someone else gave me and it's worked out ok!!

And stuff here on FurAffinity helped...
