Hi all! Its going to be 2013 soon and wow things are getting really hectic for me. Work is as usual but I had finally managed to gather enough money to buy a spanking brand new car. Its not continental though unfortunately, but after going to many dealerships I am rather confidant with my choice.
Initially I wanted to buy a second hand Mercedes or Audi but after a while and thinking about my experience with my previous car which is also second hand I had decided to buy a brand new car instead. My previous car was owned by an Australian executive, it was in pretty good shape when I first saw and drove it. I had checked every part of the vehicle and everything was sweet. I honestly thought I had made a good deal.
But after making the purchase, I had sent the car to the service center and found that it had a nasty history. The previous owner had abused the car and did not do the scheduled services for 3 years while it was with him. Majority of all of the car filters had disintegrated and certain knobs and levers of the car was broken including the lever for the boot. The mechanic said I was lucky that the I had sent it sooner as even the engine and gearbox was not serviced.
But one thing that I gotta give commendation is that the engineering of the car is excellent. Despite it being all sad and horrible, not a single moment while I had initially drove the car and after buying it did I notice anything wrong with the internal workings of the machine. It went on the highway as if nothing is wrong with it. Stable, solid and very smooth!
I have now given the car to my sister. I'm pretty sure she would find it a pleasure to drive.
My new car is not as comfortable as my previous car however it wonderful to drive and the build quality is excellent. I realised that I could not relax as I had with my previous as my previous workhorse and the boot might only fit 2 luggage bags but hey its a fun ride and surprisingly it could fit my family really well.
