Is Fiachra a girl forever/will this affect the story or is it just for fun?

Yes, I think I'm going to be keeping Fiachra a girl pretty much for good. There are times when I may still have Fiachra drawn as a male. For example, there are still a few scenes from my first novel that I'd like to have illustrated. Also, her past isn't being altered at all, so if I have pictures drawn from Fiachra's past, she will still be drawn as male. The same goes for if someone wants a picture involving Fiachra in some way and just prefers to have the male form.

I hadn't actually intended to keep Fiachra as female when I first had her drawn that way. It was just because  saetia opened up a quick commission slot offering to transform a male character into a female for fun, and I've always kind of enjoyed the idea of letting characters experience life from a different perspective for a while. So it started out as a joke. Once that was done, however, I found that this really hit home for me. It was a way for me to explore my identity as a trans person in a way none of my other characters had allowed before. I've tried to keep things light hearted and not let it affect Fiachra's core personality too much. But I'm keeping her female because it just kind of helps.

As for how it will affect my stories, it won't have any effect on anything I've already written. Fiachra is staying male in the stories I've already written, as her identity as a male who was been transformed into female is an important part of the whole thing. But I do consider this change to be canon and I plan to work it into any future stories I might write about Fiachra and her family. I have hopes to write a story based on the transformation itself, at the very least.

I don't think I actually have one. I mean, I wear 'em, but most of my clothes are very bland and uninteresting. Unless you count legwarmers.

I haven't really been able to collect too much, yet, but I do have a nice pair of striped stockings, and a lovely pair of black legwarmers that just came in the other day.

They're black and a sort of pinky-purple. Very pretty.

Not a problem! I open these up on Tuesday, but I don't ever consider them closed as long as people are still interested in asking questions.

1. I had a pretty decent chardonnay on New Years. The brand was Yellow Tail, which I believe is Australian and it's not too bad for a cheapish wine you can get at the drug store.

2. As far as commissions go, I've got a few coming in. One is a sort of illustration from my first novel, showing Ciara and her father in a fierce argument. One, which should be coming in tomorrow, is a sketch of Ciara and her parents when she was a little girl, just before they were forced to send her out into the wide world to save her from an impending siege. I've also got one coming in that was supposed to have been Eliki's Christmas present, 'til it got delayed. It's from the same artist who is doing the first commission I mentioned. I've got one coming in that's a quick picture of Fiachra's daughter Rebecca. And I just send in a note to someone to see about commissioning a picture of Megan. Wonder of wonders, only one of the listed pictures is adult rated!

3. I have, and it's not bad if done right. My mother made several jars worth of pickled okra two or three years ago, and I think I may still have one in the kitchen somewhere. She put an incredible amount of hot spices in the brine, though, so I can't eat more than a couple at a time.
