Greetings and meowliation to those precious few that actually choose to view the stew that is me.
That was terrible, but in its terribleness, you read through to the end. Kudos to you!
I am 1,3 semesters into my degree programs (Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technician and Industrial Control Systems - Maintenance and Repair)
One will net me a career as a soldering bitch for a few years as an intern, the other would have me being an industrial handyman fixing anything from a leaky toilet to the hydraulic lines feeding into and out of three story robot that builds car parts.
I'm enjoying both programs and am exceeding expectations with the EET branch of my learning. The IST side still needs some work.
Turns out we managed to link my mental woes into a classroom environment and see the polar opposite effects it had with out realizing we were doing a study.
End result: I THRIVE on the Electronics. I'm learning it faster than not only my instructor, but his two adjunct instructors are able to keep up. If I maintain the grads and find a way to curtail my attention to where it needs to go, I might make a promising adjunct to replace Brian (his current) when his term ends (when I happen to graduate).
As counterpoint, the basic electrical wiring and the hydraulics/pneumatics classes bored me enough that I was afraid I was going to fail out of them. Thankfully the teacher recognized by the 5th week what kind of a learner i am, and when we sat down and talked about my brain some it all made sense. So he graded be on a curve that dealt less with physical shown work and more on practical ability. I passed both finals on the first try with no errors and no suggestions for improvement and could confidently explain what I had built. He gave me 25% of my final grade just off that.
All in all Yay me.
I was legally declared disabled and I'm waiting on the mountain of paperwork that generates before my insurace cards come. (and the associate large sack of money, but priorities here. Health back on track so I can live to spend that money) There will be some blanket repayments going out to people who've loaned us money and we may or may not have repaid them, as well as local money matters.
All in all, life is taking a turn for the better for the first time in a long time.

oh! I nearly forgot! This semester I will be building synthesizers for class projects. I'm willing to sale any I get built just let me know if you have interest or a feature request.
