The first of the month was the start of something wonderful for me. The clock is now ticking and what once felt like a lifetime of waiting is within sight, even though still a little less than a year away. So much to do in what now seems so little time! Super serious (yet still fun) conversations ensue between my mate and I about the coming months. New ideas and scenarios keep jetting through our brains at warp speed. He has a better handle on how to form those ideas into complete sentences and paragraphs. I just sound like "Hey I was thinking about logijflkvngvmvnrogiurfliohckjdghlfdkcn.lnvk.kjblkjdfvf.iofruirflkdfgmfvnvbvlicbeiydbkdubsfvilunlotivenloivnltiunevliuvnltiubykvjnloivtnv..." and so on. He truly has the patience of a saint. For now I just have to keep the big picture in mind and make sure saving and long-term planning are my top priorities.

I have to say: the more I think about it, the more I feel like a little kid who is going on that field trip they've been waiting ages to go on. Wish me luck!
