Welcome to Balto's Journal
Just an FYI I will be at FC. However honestly my heart has not been into doing cons anymore. 'm mostly going because I wanted to see some of the friends I never get to see except at conventions like 
_marymouse and 
_buckhopper .. As for 
_Fibre well I know you can't make it but I can always fly down to see you in Houston so maybe I'll do that soon :oP
Also, Sorry I haven't been posting much but i've mostly been focusing my efforts on non furry stuff. Mostly my web comic (www.hodgespond.com) Frankly, I'm not sure how much long I will be doing this furry thing. I'm sort of getting burned out by the fandom. I think i'm just getting to old for this.
On a good note (if any one cares) I do have plans to attend FCN and Antho con and that's probably about it.
Its looking like I may cut RF this year. (maybe) Due to the fact that Rainfurrst is probably going to screw me again this year like in 2011. For this reason I may not be attending RF. I'm Getting really tired of getting slapped in the face every time I try to do something good for people. That seems to be a pattern in the Furry fandom.
Anyhow, like I said I will be at FC this year. I am also looking for ward to seeing several others there like Muddy and Razor. People who always seem to brighten my convention. Hope to see you there if not, well that's ok too.
I'll probably be keeping a low profile for personal reasons but regardless I do appreciate you all and I hope to see you there.

Its not like I ever asked them to comp me my table for all the time and effort I put into the art. I did it because I wanted to be helpful and "give back" to the con. Instead I get disrespected by not even being told WHY I wasn't allowed to help this year. You'd think some one would had said something to me. Don't you think my years of loyalty to the con deserve at least that? No instead I get my emails ignored and no one tells me anything .. well screw them. and cons wonder why no one want so step up to volunteer.
I know I bust my ass doing things, but I feel that It benefits more than the con it helps other causes, which is what I really want to do. I have always done little charity projects.
My recent one being my friend dealing with testicular cancer, got him a care package and mutual friends to write stories and such. That's what I like doing.
Just doing panels for the con is getting pretty shitty. I had a poetry writing panel and was secluded at 7PM on Saturday in the music room. yeah no one came. Sigh, I just think it has jumped the shark with aloha as chair this year.
I don't personally dislike the guy I just don't think he's mature enough to handle that level of responsibility and I have to wonder about the judgement of the people who felt he was capable
Just got to see how things go i guess.
I understand you're feeling burned out, but try to go in with an open mind and enjoy yourself. It certainly won't do to go all that way believing that it won't be very enjoyable, so try to have some fun and lift some of the burden from your shoulders.
And have a safe trip!
