Convention - Furry Fiesta, Puppy Chow, Werewolf, Tips
13 years ago
General
Starting to get my prep work done for Furry Fiesta. Yes, I am attending. Yes there will be Werewolf. Yes there will be Puppy Chow.
I may or may not have time to craft a tip jar. But in the event I do not, I wanted to let everyone have a chance to help support my Puppy Chow offerings at the conventions. I spend over $8 a batch (materials were $32 today and that is only most of the costs, not -all- of the costs, and doesn't include the 2 hours necessary to make 4 batches) and for a price comparison, I only make $15 in profit for myself with each sale of Werewolves of the Dark Arts (was $10 until I noticed how much I was spending at these cons)
I also have an upgraded sound system from last year. It has wireless microphones and lavalieres. So bottom line, this is recreational despite having a product. I do it because it's fun. However, tips from those who can afford to do so to help support my actions at these conventions are always appreciated. I spend most of my time at a convention dealing with Werewolf.
So if you can do so, tip me. rpgtobias[at]aol.com is my Paypal. :) Every bit helps make Werewolf a more awesome experience for everyone. ^_^
Now, for Furry Fiesta this year, this is the schedule. Note that the main events are at the same place as last year.
Thursday: 11PM-5AM - Silly relaxed games and tweaks to the sound system, heh.
Friday: 9:30PM-12:30AM - New Player friendly games, experienced players are encouraged to attend the overflow room. (yell at them if they try to play something other than WotDA :P)
Friday: 10PM-3AM - Overflow room in Willow. First floor baby.
Friday: 12:30AM-5AM - Training new Town Mayors during this time block. I will be cohosting so mistakes should be kept to a minimum.
Saturday: 9PM-12AM - A 30-person no-reveal game. This one will be run by me, and it WILL be capped at 30 players. Experienced players only, those still new to the game are recommended to attend the overflow room. Because there's another no-reveal game after, yell at them if they're trying to play a different version. :P
Saturday: 9PM-3AM - Overflow room in Dogwood. This one's on the second floor. Willow was taken. :)
Saturday: 12AM-3AM - An up-to-30-person no-reveal game run by whoever I can find who is capable. I WILL be playing the second no-reveal game this convention. I'm hoping to play a bit on Thursday so I'm not out of practice.
Saturday: 3AM+ - Regular games, more no-reveal games, dunno. Something.
Sunday: 9PM-5AM - Open Town Mayor, I plan to be strictly playing on Sunday. Room is available until noon, but I'll have to sleep around 5ish.
As always, WotDA is available for sale at the convention for $35. Normally $40 shipped.
Puppy Chow flavors will be decided by those that tip, but will include Dark Chocolate Orange at a minimum. Considering making a batch of 'original' with a bit extra peanut butter just because I haven't made original in a long time.
Oh, and I will be bringing my Wii U with Nintendoland and NSMBU for Thursday gaming entertainment. :)
*wishes he had a date for the con XD*

Definitely join in on the GM training. I will do my best to train as many people as possible, though brand new ones that don't own the game yet sorrrta get first selection due to the potential to sell them the game. *laughs* Good luck making it.
I am always happy to have an assistant Town Mayor. Also, I remembered, I do need help in the overflow room. So there's pretty much 3 people doing GMing on Fri/Sat, 2 on Thu potentially, and then 1-2 not-me GMs on Sun. Plus Sunday needed a second group for a portion? Man, I forget. A year is a long time. The biggest game planned is the no-reveal on Saturday, capping at 30 due to logistics/sanity. Friday will cap at 25 people for the new player games so there's at least two in quick succession. For the other, it could get bigger. And for Thursday / Sunday, the games could also get really big. We'll see.
