Moving Overseas!
Finally! FINALLY!
I'm finally flying overseas to reunite with my fiance in Scotland, after 4 months of being unexpectedly separated due to visa troubles x_x My visa's safely in hand now, though, I'm already packed, and everything should hopefully go smoothly when I leave on Tuesday afternoon... and I'm exhausted! Some part of me, I think, doesn't quite believe that things are finally going our way, that this must be some kind of cruel joke, but to be fair, this is how it felt the first time, too - I don't think it'll really feel real until I'm safely on the plane and through the UK border :b
Anyway, what that means for my clients is that I'll be out of contact for a day or two, as I don't arrive in Edinburgh until the evening on the 13th, and won't be getting to my new home likely late that night. Thanks for understanding!
I suppose this has been a good experience, or at the very least something I can walk away from with an increased appreciation - being away from the person I've shared the last six years of my life with and been together with almost 24/7 has been difficult in ways I hadn't expected. It's pushed me in a way that likely would not have been necessary if this hadn't happened, so it's something I can be proud of for overcoming, knowing this is something I can do even under the less than ideal circumstances.
I'd like to thank Steve and AJ for being awesome friends, and Pat for understanding, despite my still-incomplete Christmas present for him, as well as all the people who so kindly donated to help us out financially. Thank you so much! <3

FA+

Here's to you!
Atra esterni ono thelduin, mor'ranr lifa unin hjarta onr, un du everi'nya ono varda.
(May good fortune rule over you, peace live in your heart, and the stars watch over you).
And yeah, I used to try to give comment for comment, really engage people, but it got a little too difficult, so at the very least I try to visit people's pages when they watch me, and respond to comments when they leave them :)
Glad things finally worked out for you!
Thanks so much <3
and Success on the upcoming events
Hearing you being away from your fiance for 4 months puts things in perspective for me :) my mate is currently job training in Glasgow atm and is away until Wednesday (he only left today) and he was away for Christmas for 12 days and I thought THAT was bad haha!
No kidding x_x Casey went away for a week once and we missed each other so much x_x He never went away again, except he spent a weekend visiting a friend (I didn't go, figured they'd want guy time :b), and apparently all he did was complain about missing me XD We're such babies!
... but now I get to see him in just a few days :DDD
Yeah I know what you mean - I didn't know what to do with myself half of the time :O
Thankfully for these two admitedly short days Killian is away my friend
Well, I guess it depends on what kinds of foods or activities you like, but I certainly recommend going up Calton Hill or Authur's Seat (actually an extinct volcano) the views from both, is wonderful. I used to go up either of them with my partner at the time for sushi picnics. Which, If you like sushi, there is a little Japanese Bistro called Bonsai, which I think did some of the best, which is looking up.
Also, in a few months is Beltane Fire Festival if you don't mind crowds and large celebrations. Similarly, Every August is the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which I think is one of the largest (if not the largest) arts festivals, spanning the entire month , so there is certainly a lot to do if you don't mind how busy the streets can be then x.x
While my fiance and I are neither big crowd people, we're both actually quite fond of festivals, because the atmosphere is usually so cheerful and happy :) I'll try to remember, thanks!
good luck to you both...
V.
Haha, I'm sure we can all complain about paperwork, though.
Do you ever go over to visit?
V.
Good luck with the move!
Thanks so much guys! <3
I'm staying for three years, hopefully - the duration of my fiance's university study.
oooh wow [= how did you managed to be able to stay that long? do you have a job in england or something? im just wondering because my boyfriend was only able to stay [if he managed to get in of course] 3 months [=
Hopefully that helps!
I'm staying with a visa - it's only good for a year, but can be extended. My fiance's program is three years, so ideally we'll be staying that long :b But yeah, without a visa, you can only stay as a visitor for a few months.
see thats what i thought :) oooh thats cool i hope it works out for you ^^ my friend had a friend from australia who used up all their visas n now she cant come back unless for a holiday :/
Used up visas? Not eligible for any others now? That's weird. You should be able to reapply unless conditions don't apply anymore (eg. can't apply for a student visa if you're not a student anymore!)
well she already studied in australia and from what i understand she came on a work visa, n after 2 years she was sent back :/

*nods* Visas expire - you need to extend/update/ them or reapply or whatever to stay :b Hoping the process won't be as painful as it was getting over here x_x
yeah they do, haha yeah XD she did with everything, over the two years then it came a point where the only ones left were marrieage ones and study one which she couldn't d beause she already had a degree. yeah i hope so too x.x how was it painful? despite being sent back before hand? 0.o
btw sorry for the double post XD i was typing the reply on my xbox and it was glitching out on me XD
Money is evil.
yeah it is x.x well complications are evil n money wasting is evil.
Not sure how much it costs to renew yet.
i see, well hopefully it wont break the bank to much.
