Yea its kinda true. I would love another series that is for both genders an not just one but a lot of folks still think that some shows have to be for girls or for boys only.

Oh i know, that series blow my mind away when i saw it. Its so awesome. That is how it should be with cartoons. Great story, great characters, balances of comedy an drama an life lessons that isnt shoved in your face.

Oh, I don't think the brony fandom is dying out any time soon. It IS changing, that's for sure, and it's growth has plateaued; but that doesn't mean it's going to go pop. Regardless of what happens, I'm going to stick with the show as long as I possibly can. Only reason I would leave is if it degraded into G3, and even then I'd hope that the original greatness would be kept alive in fanwork (assuming everyone doesn't bail out, which I hope they don't).

yeah, I know. this has just been a very stressful couple of weeks when it comes to the show. you probably have heard of it. It's been a LOOONG wait for this event and it's going to be an even longer wait to see what the hell the implications even are... to be honest, I've been very un-easy about it, I'm not a big fan of the notion that twilight will become a completely unrelateable character who will overshadow the entire rest of the cast and in turn also lose a lot of her negative traits which is what made her so lovable in the first place. they are going to have to really play around to justify how that's not to happen with the changes they seem to be planning.

Oh I'm not worried. The plot synopsis suggests that this is going to be a temporary "alternate reality" scenario, but even if it isn't, I trust the writers to make it work. Only time will tell. We shall hope for the best but expect the worst.

IDK, from the article I've read where Megan McCarthy[one of the two lead editor of the show right now, the other one has yet to comment] announced the event, I grew a sense of dread to this event. she went on about "all girls want to be princesses" and stating that girls can attempt to live up to the values and ideals of being a princess like twilight. I don't know if the article was meant to be misleading, let me tell you, I REALLY REALLY REEEEEEEEEEEEALY hope that article isn't really her plan. I can't tell you how much I want this princess crap to be a temporary story-line. I just don't know what to think of McCarthy after seeing that article... it was just... so... offensive... she also said in the article that "I don't feel much will change if twilight where to become a princess" and then stated that she will have no challenges and living up to the virtues and values of being a princess. not to mention being a "leader" figure. I've been in a state of non-stop anxiety since reading that article. and before you ask, yeah, it is an official article that was published in there magazine and posted on there facebook. I really hope this isn't her plan, I REALLY hope it was just worded to make suspense...

and to be honest about the Equestia Girls thing, I'm curious how that's going to turn out. maybe it could at least ground things a bit.

I'm genuinely curious about Equestria Girls too; I'll give it a shot. As for Meghan McCarthy, she's joined the messing with bronies bandwagon. Depends on if she was saying that in a formal interview or not. If it was on her Twitter feed, she's messing with us.

She is like the third biggest troll on the FiM, past or present. I am technically counting Lauren Faust a second even though she's no longer with them, as she is just that awesome.

well, after looking at her writing credits I can say I wasn't expecting what I saw. I can say I'm a little more interested in what she truly has in mind seeing how she wrought lesson zero. It appears she should know how twilight's character works, I hope she knows what she's doing. MA Larson also wrought It's about time, but really, I'm not worried about him. at the end of the day, this is more about the long term for me.

what I was worried about is how much the new twilight form would change the over all feel and mood of the series. to be honest, I like the idea of twilight being a normal pony a lot more, seeing how she is more relatable that ways. making her royalty and a super-powered being just feels like they are forcing her to be the focus of the series and in the front, in the process, really pushing her friends back. it would make her problems way trump out her friends and make her presences in general really distracting. why would royalty be left to fend for herself, by herself, in a small, unprotected, town filled with common folk who went gaga at the mere sight of Fluttershy when she was a model. They seem to make it a big deal whenever Celestia or Luna come in, and in the last ep, we saw the new character go shaky legs around shining armor with a "oh I've never been around a prince before." Wouldn't Twi start getting the same effect if she where to wonder into Ponyvile with wings and a princess tiara?

there was a rumor going around that she was going to be the princess of harmony and the elements where going to disappear and her friends would no longer be holders of them, which I hope was just a load of BS. that would make the rest of the cast completely redundant, it would imply that twilight now has all the elements in her, making her this perfect being that has the positives of all the characters. I personally find that awful because the negative aspects to her personality is what made her what she is.

Again, looking over both those writers credits, they both should have thought about those things above seeing how they tied into episodes they both have written. I also don't see why this would be good for Hasbro in the long run ether. they would have to discontinue there old twilight toys and merch and try and replace them with newer ones, which wouldn't sell as well because people would only need to buy the new set once to get the new twilight and not the rest. it would also be more expensive to produce the new twilight model in general simply because of the larger model and more plastic involved. It also wouldn't help any of the side projects like the games that Hasbro are rumored to be making or the social game they have up. the comics would have to shoehorn the change in way later when they are done with there ark, which would be pretty inconvenient. The change also seems to contradict the whole Equestia Girls spin-off and other planned toys like the MLP thumb-drives and new Vinyl toy that haven't even been released yet. I also saw amongst the toys being shown off at the resent toy fair where they where showing off the new princess Twi toy, There didn't seem to be any other princess Twi toys and in fact, all I saw was a backpack and/or lunchbox that had normal Twi on it, of course, that could just be bad memory and it would have been screen caps from something else, but still.
