No. MFF is about 15 or 20 miles from downtown, I'm about 50.

i dont know where we'd be staying. maybe at the MWFF hotel. maybe with friends. it's all up in the air at this point.

Rosemont, where MFF is held, is literally 15 mins from my house :) We could hop a train downtown and see the sites Chicago has to offer!
We can also take you guys out to dinner one night nearby if you'd like.
We know a great Sushi place, and also some local favorites :)

hmm, I'll have to think about it cause I've already got plans to go to IFC and only have enough to go to one con. Parents are taking me out on my 21st birthday (Nov. 22nd) so I might not be able to go this year. Neat thing though is that I'm an hour away from the hotel for MWFF.

I can recommend a neighborhood you two should check out in Chicago: Wicker Park. Off the Damen Stop on the CTA Blue line, this trendy hot spot has many good restaurants and shops, and a great night-life. I go there every time I come up for MWFF, so I highly recommend it.

If you guys are going to be down there, you should totally come down for LAFF at some point! It's a monthly bowling meet that is pretty fun and lots of people come to hang out! If not, hope to seeya at MFF as well and say hi! =^.^=

I'm going to try for MFF again this year.. I think MFF is gonna be my main con I'll go to.. Since I am not hitting AC this year, I reckon I will go to Califur.. if I can find out if I have been approved for it or not..

I'd love to but I don't get off work until Thursday of the con, so getting to Chicago earlier won't be doable.

Oooh...I'd love to spend some non-con time with you! I can't get away from work (Mon-Fri), but since I live in Milwaukee (1-1/2 hours north of Chicago), I can easily make a weekend trip to hang with you and whoever shows up. PLUS, MFF is going to be the only formal convention I'll be attending this year so it's going to take an act of God to keep me from going! Let me know what you have going on!

I'd be open to getting to know you guys better and I live about two blocks from the Red Line, which will allow you to see the entire city proper. I would suggest planning on staying with several different people if you'll be around an entire week. As we get closer to the convention, it really is just pure chaos and everyone gets crazy-busy. A good number of us check into the hotel on Wednesday, but there are others who don't, so you can work out when you want to arrive based on that.

How goes plans guys? Will you be in town?

were coming sunday. were staying in DeKalb till wednesday. we plan on day trips to downtown, to see the art gallery, aquarium, science center, and Willis Tower. so far. thats the plan. wednesday we're heading to the MFF hotel till monday morning.
