Cruddy Anthros....

So it has been brought to my attention that my anthro art is well...... the word that was used was "Disturbing." And since I am a firm believer in constructive criticism I thought I would ask my fellow furry artist! Please tell me and don't worry about my feelings (Imma big boy I can take it) how I can improve on my anthro art. I will take all CONSTRUCTIVE criticism into consideration. I do truly want to grow as an artist and only want my art to be disturbing when I mean it to be.

Some of your more successful pieces I find going through your gallery are the ones where you're not drawing MLP at all, but your own furry characters. :) They don't ATTEMPT to make the character recognizable to anything but your own work. Your "voice" so to speak comes out loudest when you're not drawing another's characters.
If you want tips on how to make your animal-people more "animal people" blendy, I'd suggest checking out Faint's work. He loves drawing muscles and he does a really awesome blend of human and animal features.
