Convention - Post Furry Fiesta 2013 Thankyous

Now for something more cheerful. :D BECAUSE I FORGOT BEFORE.
Thank you to Path for getting me the best he could in event placement this year, and proper scheduling. And don't worry, flyer problems weren't your fault.
Thank you to Orim for his help in the New Player games. You made those 3 games a really awesome experience for the new players. ^_^
Thank you to Kfox and Ian and a few others for their help every day in set-up and tear-down. It takes forever and I know I'm a picky bastard about things, but thanks for helping to make it go at least a bit faster.
Thank you to Nuka and anyone else who helped out in the Overflow room. I have NO CLUE what went on in there; I hate that it was so far away because I couldn't even check in. But I heard people were at least having fun.
Thank you to the various assistant GMs and those that gave me the chance to participate in games this year. I had some epic rounds, and uhh, I apologize for being a sneaky bastard. Witch lover with Werewolf in a no-reveal, Mystic cleared by Seer turned Werewolf, 7-second mostly-legitimate game of Werewolf. XD
Thank you to everyone who tipped. My Puppy Chow costs were fully covered, and so was the cost of the laser pointer that somehow wandered away from the Overflow room on Friday. It was very very nice to not have to stress about the costs of entertaining others. :3
Thank you to the 7 people who purchased a deck at the convention. ^__^ If you guys need anything at all, I'll do my best to write up what's missing. I know there's a few things flat out lacking from the website right now, and I honestly am not sure how to approach a few of them, but I can at least answer questions and those questions can be helpful in getting me started on the missing sections.
I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing for Fiesta next year but I DO know I'll be needing other GM help. Please, anyone who wants to be a GM in the future, visit the Werewolf website. Read the material there. Commit it to memory. Ask me questions. I need the help. I want to play more often so that I can help give strategy from a less-informed Villager standpoint. So that I can share other neat ways to bluff and tease out information. I have a lot of strategies I've come up with that I just don't get the chance to pull off or share because I'm always GMing and I can't influence the game in such a way. I give hints but by playing the game, being the roles with the strategies, and executing them to some degree of effect, I'm able to help show others what is possible for those roles. For example, I almost never see the Cultist or Heretics actually do anything useful for the evil guys. Thus the evil guys often lose where the balance is stacked heavily in the favor of evil.
I'm gonna make one more journal telling the tales of the 3 games mentioned above for some insight and to show you that I don't want to be the only 'expert' ;)
So, yes, THANK YOU. Fiesta was a GREAT convention overall and it was made that way thanks to your assistance. I run myself to the ground at these things to help give some late night entertainment where there would otherwise be very little, and it makes me very happy to have such a dedicated following.

FA+

There's so many subtleties to being an awesome GM ranging from being invisible and perfect, to things like steering the conversations EVER SO SLIGHTLY to ensure a more balanced and entertaining outcome. I do act subliminally in favor of better debates and more entertaining games, though I rarely outright rig things. That's less fun most of the time.
I fully admit to rigging the deck for Redd (jackalope suit) on Thursday, though. /terrible flirt. :P
And vans a great DM x3 and your a awesomely fun guy!!! We would literally go to oklacon JUST to play werewolf were still debating the whole camping thing has van in the thumbs down... But oh my i soooo loved werewolf i wish i had more friends to PLAY it so i could get really awesome (dont tell anyone but i LOVE to lie even when im a GOOD roll lol makes the game more interesting. I have to say no reveals are my favorite though!!! . Sucks that were in arlington.. Thats a tad far from austin v.v
If you're willing to give me a place to sleep, I am more than willing to drive up there and host Werewolf in the park. It's warm enough at this point that I can do that.
And yes, that's one of the secrets to being a good evil guy. And that's playing an evil Villager. Just gotta be careful not to do it so directly that people think to never ever trust you. Gotta play on the level some of the time at least. :) (I forget Ian's FA x.x;)
It was great fun, despite in one game getting lynched because I was the only girl *cries* ;P
I think my favorite game was a down to the wire duel with me (as the seer) versus nuka (the werewolf). Nuka was taunting me during the night, everyone would burst out laughing, I had to try not to laugh too. Unfortunately, the lone villager cast the lynch on me.
Sucks smiling so much.. everyone thinks i'm guilty when I'm just having fun!
Because you were the only girl?? :O Wow, that's unfortunate! Those pigs. :3 *hugs teh Toffeh*
Yeah, to an extent I don't MIND silliness at night as long as it's not detracting from the actual gameplay logic. Certain players do it in a way that doesn't really hurt the game, while others specifically use it as a tool in their toolbox to be as big of a confusing selfish prick as possible. |D Plus, it largely depends on the mood of the game in the first place. It at least sounds like you guys were able to keep the games moving along, though! :D
Hehe, smiling doesn't mean evil. I mean, sure, you're probably the Crone or Master of Teleportation when you smile way too much but STILL!!! ;) I do what I can to help teach people better social skills through my game. Help show them what they should be looking for, and yeah... it's really fun to see where people's minds take them when given limited information. I don't think I'll ever get tired of that part.
I tactfully withhold my opinion of all things MLP. XD
Also, "Mystic cleared by Seer turned Werewolf," - you suck. I knew you weren't innocent, but it was entirely too late (both in the night and at the con in general) for you to be pulling that kinda crap on us. Well played. And "7-second mostly-legitimate game of Werewolf" - that was epic. And seeing you actually rolling around on the floor afterwards was almost as amusing. It's so easy to retell too - "Wake up, look around. 'I don't think there are any werewolves in this town.' Short pause...'I agree.' Insta-lynch." Rofl is appropriate. Gotta love those 'random decks' - especially when it was new to the guy doing it. Who knows - there might not have been a wolf in there - if I remember correctly, it was possible. Epic though...very well played.
P.S. Speed werewolf is kinda fun. It adds a whole new element of amusing to the game - and it does keep boredom at bay. No more really long day phases for dead peeps to endure.
