Be sure to check the Anthrocon forums, they have listings of people looking for roommates at various hotels around the con site. I did this last year on very short notice and got a really nice room at the Omni with a fantastic group of people. It was my first time to this con and it all worked out very well, had a great time and am going back this year. unfortunately my room is all booked up.
