I'm Done With Sexism And Rape
You know, when we say stuff like "She's kind of asking for it" because she was drunk or wearing certain clothing, then pretty much we're just saying that men are inherently stupid, violent, and uncontrollable animals. Men can't be trusted or trained because they have penises, so it's up to women to be wary of them.
That's some massively sexist bullshit towards men that I'm not buying anymore than I buy that a woman is ever "asking" for it.
There is NO justification for rape. None. Whatsoever. A rapist takes every single ounce of the blame and pays the consequences of their crime. There is never an "asking for it" unless she specifically tells you YES. Not if she walks alone, not if she wears skimpy clothing, not if she's passed out drunk at a party, not if she even starts the act and then changes her mind.
She says "No," "Stop," or is unconscious or to inebriated to think straight, then you do not touch her.
And yes, this ABSOLUTELY applies to GBLTA members. There are a lot of men and women I know who suffer because they were raped by others of their same sex. No man ever asks for it because he's gay and male (and I've heard the same damned "he was asking for it" shit in regards to gay rape). HE says NO, you fucking STOP and don't hurt him.
If you cannot stop and think or control your sexual actions, then something is seriously, majorly WRONG with you. You are literally sick in the head and need help or to be locked away from society because you are a danger.
"She's kind of asking for it" needs to be wiped out of our vocabulary and our culture, and we need to start showing rape as the abnormal action it actually is.

WTF is WRONG with folks who WOULD think that?
It can also be a person taking advantage of a situation that they think they can get away with.
I perfectly agree with others on this topic here. Though I wouldn't say it is something that needs to be wiped from the vocabulary. I think it should be made into something that is equivalent of saying "I'm guilty! I demand you punish me to the full extent of the law!". It would make things so much simpler in court.
Sad that this even has to be said.
Sadly I have worked around guys that had that idea in their head. A couple of them went as far as saying they would rape me to show me all I needed was a man and not another woman. I went to HR and said what was said and they just passed it off with an "Oh he wouldn't say that." real open minded liberal there for you.
The next day I parked right next to his car and after work he was standing there talking with his buddies. some rude comments were made to me as I going to my truck. I get to my truck, open my truck take my jacket off and put my shoulder holster on put my jacket back on and put my sidearm in the holster. I also made a show of put my blades in their sheaths and got in my truck and left.
From then on the guys were nice and polite to me, I wonder why? I never had any more issues with those guys.

It seems like a childish excuse, which is why it probably seems like such a stupid excuse to me when I hear adults try to excuse their actions with this form of reasoning.
