A viking among pirates ( NFC 2013 )

General
This past Easter was spent at Nordic FuzzCon, and the dull greys of regular life are washing upon me. *sigh*
Fursuiting was done in abundance, good food and drinks were also abundant (some of it refused to stay down) - but most importantly the company was great. It was also nice to be in a country where I comprehend and can to a fair extent speak the language - tjallabajs och bollibompa, tiker!
I dare say I've made a few new friends, improved upon existing friendships and quite likely missed out on a lot of great people to befriend. Being the case that I am Norwegian, I suffer from a condition called "Norwegian Inherited Stiffness SyndromE" (http://youtu.be/hGOLJlZW_qc must be true since it's on the internet - and the research was clearly coincidentially sponsored by a brewery!) and am thus less than useless for dancing, and most of all keep out of others personal space. Most who stopped and spoke with me at the con I regret not grabbing their badge and trying to read with blurred vision to put a name to the kind face, but I am a rather shy person who's rather afraid of touching anyone - likely because I was not wanted near anyone in my youth, and am thus used to people preferring me at a distance. Wearing my suit helps attract attention, but I obviously don't know what to do once I get it.
Should any of you reading this remember giving me a hug, a pat/scritch on the back or taking the time to engage me in a conversation of any length - it all means a lot to me, even if I seem cold and stiff as a log.
A lovely photo to show (or remind) how I was equipped for NFC2013, taken by

Thank you for a great con, staff of NFC! See you next year (if not a few of you sooner)!
A final note to those who've seen me from behind: They're not bicycle handles! ;_;

Thanks for all the random, ermh, scalp scritchings and rubbings. Perhaps a bit distracting when you're in a game or a conversation or you're trying to write an e-mail, but as they say, all attention is good attention. And definitely not as distracting as wolftale putting her claw tips in my ears.
Was fun seeing you again too (we don't meet often these days), and glad to hear you enjoyed yourself!
I'll take a note of that, and give you a real big hug next time I see you :)
Long live NISSE. I know how that feeling is.
Had similar experience when I was younger,
so I was used to distance and didn't even dear to hug others (family nor friends) before I was 27-28 years old.
