Yeah, I just went in over my head with this, it wasn't anything like I thought it'd be. I doubt I could've handled it more than a month honestly. I was bound to quit eventually, just not this early like this. And like I mentioned below, I'm never going to reference this job again in the future with other employers. This will just go down as a bad experiment. I'm going to hope the next job I land isn't nearly as bad as this.

Always just gotta remember the shit to dollar ratio with jobs.
More pay means more shit you'll be willing to put up with. haha.
I can tell this one was apparently too low a ratio to be worth it.

I hope that the next job you land, even if the work itself isn't so fun, that the people you work with can be cool.
Casual friends with co-workers makes the job so much friggin better even if the work itself is annoying and stupid 8D.

This one it was $8 an hour for working 10 hours scrubbing and cleaning seats and walls in an airplane. Not worth it at all. Only thing is the promise of getting looked at by other companies in the airline industry or other positions in it, which isn't my thing either. I will say, the people were pretty friendly and funny. But that isn't enough for me, not when the work is so horribly boring nobody wants to do it at all.

Berate you? Why would anyone do that? You tried your best, and it just wasn't for you, there is not shame in that.
If anything, I imagine the experience will be of help and perhaps score you a job that is better for you.

Many were disappointed in me for quitting less than a week in, including my mom. But most have let up on it and said "Just don't do this again, work isn't supposed to be fun, get over it." I used to believe I could handle any job because it meant work, but this proved me wrong and that I need a faster paced job to mentally handle it. I do hope I can find a better situation at the next place, this feels so shameful. I'm going to just act like this job never happened, never make reference to it again on future applications or my resume. We'll just pretend this was a bad dream that cost me money and sleep.

"Work isn't supposed to be fun." That is such a lie... Their are plenty of jobs that can be fun, some jobs really are just way overly annoying.
I'm sure you will do better in another situation, sounds like that one was just too rough, and starting with something that bothersome will only be worse in the long run.

That's the same thought I had, even if it's not supposed to be fun, I'd like to at least enjoy it or feel good about what I do. There's nothing to be proud of cleaning a plane because nobody cares about it. When I flew down to see you guys last year, I didn't think for one second about how clean the plane was, or any of the work that goes into it. Normal people aren't going to care about how good a job you did cleaning their seat. I just find that unrewarding, I want to do something that isn't quite that way. It'd feel better knowing people are actually benefiting in some way from what you do. And yeah, looking at this job, there was no way it'd ever get better, even if I should've held it until I find another job it's too late now.

Exactly, there's a lot you can like about a job, you just need to find one that works.
It's unfortunately true... Though in a way, now if I ever get on a plane, I'll know, and be grateful to the people who clean it. *nod*
I personally think getting out while you are ahead is a much better idea myself, so I think you choose right, doing it for to long could get you stuck with it in some way, which would be awful.
