I like the double-mascot idea, particularly either both being female or the mouse being female and the bat male. Personalities might be tricky though, since if both are the shy type they may need something more to play off each other (maybe one's athletic and the other is nerdy, but both are still shy). Maybe roommates or lovers or best friends?

I personally like the idea of both being mascots. I mean, why limit it to one thing? Imagining all of the crestfallen voters who came at a tie. .w.;

The Ranma curse idea does sound neat for the both of them! Certainly does offer a LOT of open ground for embarrassing situations. Like something unexpected at public showers/bath houses. X3

I definitely plan to have *at least* one bat and one mouse. The only question I have is the gender distribution. Who would be male and who female? I mean unless I *do* go the gender-flipping route.

Ah, but that's the problem. What if people would prefer it the other way around? We are open to members of *all* orientations, after all.

You could always have two bats (one male and one female) and two mice (one male and one female).

Then no one could complain about the genders of the bats and mice. It would also give you extra characters to humiliate!

I have to say I like the idea of both being mascots. As for the sex of either, make it interchangeable? That accounts for straight, gay, and lesbian pics too. :3 So whether that's two characters who can change at will, or four, I support the idea very much!! <3 Glad to know my vote to bat helped force a tie~

I vote we keep both! Nothing wrong with two mascots. Our group has two. Make one male and one female. Besides, I can imagine lots of fun pics involving the bat and mouse.

I was actually considering that as an option before the original results even came in, haha.

Would have gone with mouse easily. It was obviously heavily favored between mouse and bat as you looked at votes put out, and mouse is much cuter than a bat imo.

Have you decided what to do? If not, then perhaps you should narrow down your options and take another vote.

I like the idea of having one of each, with distinctive designs, and giving them gender-flipping abilities. n_n Even their names can be gender-neutral!

I go with Devoid-Kiss. I think the best option is male bat, female bat, female mouse and male mouse. I know it's customary to have only one mascot, but having more than one can't hurt. Besides, this will mean everybody is happy. For example I prefer males and others prefer females. But like this, none of us will be disappointed.

And btw, I believe the fact that both animals got the same vote means both are equally desired. So choosing one over the other could disappoint 50% of this groups fans.
