Welp, USPS has done it again! (Update)
A package of mine was stolen today. The package contained 25 photo mailers that I need to send out auction winnings and complete commissions. 9x11.5 photo mailers of high quality are hard to find now a days, for some weird reason, so I had to order them online. I've been waiting for them all week until today I got off work and checked my mail. Lo and behold there's a mail locker key in my mail box. I was filled with glee that my photo mailers had finally come.
I grabbed the key and attempted to open the mail locker. Now this locker has been in need of repair for sometime now. As I'm trying to work the key into the lock I notice the door of the locker comes open with slight effort... the locker wasn't locked... my package is gone... I have to order more photo mailers and wait another week to send out my commissions and auctions... I can't express the amount of pissed and enraged I was. It took all my self control to not freak out and break something. I might have gone invisible, cause I'm sure the hot rage steaming off of me was strong enough to bend light.
I've finally calmed down enough to make this journal post. I contacted the company that sold me the product, and am awaiting they're response. Tomorrow I plan to go to my local post office to file a complaint about the locker with the broken lock and my stolen package. There's absolutely nothing else I can do at the moment, but chill out with a beer. I must say that I handled that a lot better than I used to. If it were old BH out there, I would be out one mailbox and taping up some bloody knuckles. I'm proud of myself.
As for the thief, I hope he was very disappointed with his ill gotten loot. The package must have looked very promising. a box that was around 10x12 and maybe 5 inches thick with some heft to it. Boy must have been some sort of disappoint. What's some thug going to do with a stack of envelopes? It would be nice if he just dropped them at my door. He has my address. *Fingers crossed.
Welp, time to keep drinking and get back to drawing. Just needed to leave a rant.
(Update)
For those of you wondering I got my package. It was actually a mistake on my part. Turns out the package was sitting in an identically numbered mail locker box just two lockers over. Well I'll be the first to admit that I look and feel like a total Jackass. I've had issues with the USPS before and in this instance, I jumped to conclusions cause I was so used to they're failure, but in the end, it was I who had failed. Anyway, no harm no foul. Time to get some stamps and mail these suckers out. BA BAM!!!
