Important Journal
Okay, so. I think it's time to come clean about a few things, and to discuss the future of commissions, streams, and other such things.
For starters, some of you might notice that it takes me awhile before I upload some of the pictures I do in my streams. Well, there's a couple of reasons that I'm going to touch on here. The first one is a simple one to understand (I hope). When I upload commissions, generally, only the one who commissioned it comments. I enjoy getting comments from people (except when they're silly RP comments. Those can burn in hell). Now, this is only natural, I understand. But at the same time, it does kind of make me a sad lizard. And it has the side effect of putting me off of uploading it. I realize this is unfair to the one who commissioned it, as it's not their fault. And I'm sorry for that. But it's how I feel.
The second reason is a more complicated one. I have ADD. I get distracted VERY easily, and forget things that are said to me as little as an hour before. (Joanne can confirm this, it's happened SO MANY TIMES WITH HER AND ME) So, generally, what happens is that I just plain outright forget to upload things. That's not really an excuse. It's more of an explaination.
Bottom line is this. I'm going to have a few new rules for things. This is so I feel a bit better about it all, and you guys can get your pictures in a decent amount of time.
1. All of the commissions will be uploaded to my DeviantART Stash. You can download them from that, and are free to repost them if you wish, as like as you mention that I did the linework. I will provide a link to it all via note.
2. Bare in mind that, in my streams, I do reserve the right to refuse or refund a commission, for reasons ranging from not liking the idea, to not liking the person the idea came from. I won't reveal which is the reason, just know that I can and will refuse/refund.
This goes into the commission streams. Now, before I go into details, know that I like doing commissions for all of you. But, I am running the risk of burning out with it. I know there's a lot of you that would love to see more of my personal ideas. So, this is how commission streams will go in the future.
Everything here WILL be put on the journal when I stream. Saying you didn't read it won't work as an excuse.
1. I will start the stream with taking 3 commissions from people. After I do those three, I will accept more if I feel like doing them.
2. DO NOT send the money until I get to you. This way, you won't feel like I'm ripping you off. Emergencies happen, and I don't want to hold onto money if I can't deliver the goods.
3. PLEASE make your commission requests as detailed as possible in the first note. Include references, details on what you want to be happening, and other such things. If you don't, I'll fill in the blanks myself. Which may or may not improve the picture.
4. I will do commissioned comic pages. However, they will be sketched ONLY in the stream, and inked offline. This is so I can get to other pinups.
5. Sequence pictures will be limited to 3 pinups per sequence. Same reason as the above rule.
If these seem a bit too strict, then it's because they are for your protection, just as much as my own. I promise, happier, cheerful journals are on the way. For now, I need to get business handled. So...yeah.

FA+

It'll be a shame if this means less art from you on here, but I understand your reasoning.
what did i tell you in the stream :)
Commissions and Requests will be up via sta.sh
You need to NOTE/PM him to get the link.
Your rules are not too strict. If you are not making a living doing your art, then it should be completely about self-fulfillment. If these rules are what you need to get things done, then they are better than anything that would cause burnout, stagnation, or a compromise of your principles. If people want your work, they should follow your rules. If they want someone who CAN do anything, they should contact Superman. If they want someone who WILL do anything, they should find somebody with no self respect.
Thanks and I am grateful for the pictures you made me sir but I get a sense that I am not welcome there but I hope the money serves you well.
