Update #2
General
We woke up this morning to find Joy throwing up and acting lethargic. I remembered she wasn't so quick to purr when I picked her up last night but I attributed it to her being a little freaked out by all the strange people in and out of the house over the weekend.
She's going to the vet in an hour and hopefully she just has a mild tummy ache and that will be that, but forgive me if I cancel the stream tonight on account of this as I might opt to take the evening off and watch after my baby.
Hopefully all will be well.
Additional update:
Just got back from the vet. Her blood levels were mostly normal except for some heightened liver levels. Blood sugar is high but that's probably stress related. They are going to try to clear out her intestines and administer anti nausea meds as well as get some fluids into her. Joy is remaining at the vet for the day for observation and I'll know more later today.
Another Update:
Joy is home (and I am $400 poorer). She is getting a quarter tablet of pepcid a day and is on some food that is supposedly very gentle for her stomach. She seems to just want to rest and recover for now so we have given her a quiet little comfy space in the bathroom where she won't be attacked by Mugsy (and where he can't eat her food). She is more reserved and lethargic than I'd like, but still purrs when I pet her and doesn't seem to be in too much pain. Here's hoping she's on the mend and will only get better as the days go by.

Get better, kitty. :(
Reid goes in for throat surgery Wednesday, so I'm right there with you on the vet bills.
