Now that I'm here... a dilemma. Help/advice?
Bringing my art back online has been a wonderful experience. I want to thank everyone who has favorited, commented, and added me to their watch list. All the support, recognition and constructive criticism has encouraged me greatly, and I plan to continue posting.
My dilemma is this: as I go through the drawings that I posted from 1998-2004, it's clear that there's a big difference between what I was capable of then and what I can do now.
Some of my early work makes me feel so embarrassed! But for the sake of nostalgia, I can make it available again for all of you. I can do a variety of things with it:
- post the drawings in my gallery with a name prefix (like, "For nostalgia: [name]")
- post the silly, unfinished, or embarrassing stuff as scraps
- not post the early stuff that makes me feel shy
- other options I haven't considered
How should I handle this?

This. Stresses me out when people clean their galleries. Half the fun is going through the pages and seeing the changes in style over time, see what they've learned.
Especially since a piece might have been worse from a technical point, but have compensated with a fun scenario or something.
1. A prefix should be sufficient, as there is certainly no reason you should be ashamed of your older works. The progression from "Then" to "Now" could even be established as a method of tracking your growth through the years, and is good advertising.
2. Post whatever you want, so long as you do not violate the AUP. Remember most importantly that this is a site for you to show off what you're proud of, and we are here to enjoy the works that you do put up on the site.
3. Make a "Then and "Now" collage image, with a timeline depicting images of images you feel you most notably improved upon over the course of years.
4. Don't worry- Be happy!
