Aaa thank you. I'm hoping to actually take a course at some point, since so far everything I do is just guesswork and messing around. Maybe eventually! But it's good to know it's coming off well in the meantime.

Honestly I get bored quickly and need to do different things all the time otherwise I get quite stale, doing many things and styles helps stimulate my imagination constantly and keeps me from burning out for too long.

Ahh I have such problems branching out, it's definitely something I'm working on becoming more aware of and trying to change. It's totally cool that you can do so, and even cooler that it helps you like that, haha.

I found the best way to do it is to try a new media. I've gotten myself into an addiction for buying art supplies. I have so many it's unreal o-o

I feel the way you do pixel art and painted style art to just be amazing though. Pixel art especially. That one pixel gif of Home and the budgie character in the dark room with the rain outside. Every move and color was so subtle yet powerful to me. I love that you can do that and am slightly jealous! Love it love it

Ahh see I managed to develop an aversion to traditional supplies due to the cost. :P I always feel like I'm wasting money when I'm playing with traditional things. Which is also something I need to work on getting over because I don't feel like being strictly digital is a good way to develop anything foundational or new.

Pixel art is just super fun for me to do, since I feel like its simultaneously very precise but forgiving, and that it lets you focus on things you usually can't in other forms. Plus I find pixel animation 400% easier than any other kind, so!

to me it's worth the cost, but I admit to possibly having a problem XD; It helps when I came across a few artists who were just giving their supplies away due to disinterest in the medium they were trying, plus that seemed to be the go to gift for holidays when I was younger since art was all I did. So now I have this huge surplus of art supplies from back when I was younger.

I'm the opposite! I'm so picky with pixel art, I treat it like it has to be absolutely perfect and get immensely frustrated. I'd rather do frame by frame hand drawn sometimes XD But I get it's easier to do pixel animation when this weird perfectionism is let go @-@

Ah I usually end up tossing any of my gifted art supplies at my partner, who actually knows how to use them, haha. Even when I get things as gifts I totally feel like I'm wasting money and I'm not entirely sure why I've gotten so stuck on the whole cost issue! I guess I'd rather just watch people use things instead so I can fawn over their work.

See pixel work actually alleviates that for me! I guess because in the end, the pixel either goes in this space or in that one, and there isn't endless fussing and fixing like there is in just drawing something out. So, like I said, it's precise but lets you be loose because there's only so many combinations you can have, so don't worry about it (or at least, that's what I tell myself).

My pixels are still frame-by-frame drawn but it's just. Way easier for me? I have no idea it just clicks waaaay more for me when I animate tiny I guess hahaha.

There is nothing at all that should ever be changed about your art that you don't first want to change yourself. What you are capable of is stunning and is beautiful to look at; altering anything that you've produced through your mind's eye shouldn't ever be an option.

I've never really looked at it that way, hm. I suppose it takes a certain kind of confidence to do so.

In the same vein, you also mentioned being unskilled at expressing yourself, whereas I've found the exact opposite. You seem very precise and sincere in your wording, and seem to have very refreshing notions about a lot of things. I can respect sincerity more than pretty much anything else.

You have forged some of the most genuine, likable, and completely thrilling characters it Jason.ever been my pleasure to have seen. :)

Ahh wow that's lovely to hear. I struggle with a lot of anxiety issues, which definitely took a heavy toll on my esteem and general personality when I was younger. I've spent the last few years trying to be a bit more chill and laid back with things! And wow yeah I totally love this stuff, but I rarely actually go out looking for it. So, here I am, ready to write some compliments, so decide to look through your gallery to see what I like best from your work and then I realize that there's TOO MUCH I LIKE ABOUT IT. I'm gonna try to NOT fill this place with a Text Wall so here we go:

First off, your use of light is beyond my level of HOW DOES HE DO IT. Honestly, it sets the mood SO well in your work!

Secondly, the sketch lines present in your pieces provide a Homely (Pun Intended) roughness that makes your sketches have a strong raw emotion about them! (That's a GOOD thing!)

Third point would be you pixel art. GOSH, YOUR PIXELS. They're just so gosh darned SHARP and have such an ASTONISHING sense of form!

Lastly (To Avoid Writing TOO Much), your use of color. It is just the CAT'S PAJAMAS, your coloring!
