Well, here is an update on moving. Over the week we have been doing a ton of inspections, and the big problems were a large number of appliances were not working correctly, there was wood rot around every window and in some places along the outside, luckily there was none in any major support to the deck or anything. Also the sealing on the windows have to be replaced. On top of that some things couldn't be inspected, seeing as there was one outside closet that was locked and we did not have a key and the main water pump was behind the main ventilation unit in the garage. Which by the way, the garage doors were inoperable, and in the downstairs apartment, connected to the garage, there was a high level of radon. Which is not good because that was going to be my part of the house.

However, we are getting credited of our offer for the windows (for replacing them entirely, rot and bad sealer) and to take care of the radon. Which won't be a problem once I'm living there because after those are knocked down they can be kept down by having a window open and proper ventilation.

So things are moving forward! I'll keep you all updated on when I finally move.
