So Pokemon X and Y...

So the new Pokemon games are promising us alot, yes I know alot of people were pretty upset over the last generation. But this one does offer some hope, the pokemon Noivern for instance. Hating the look of the frog starter, but the fox looks pretty good and i'm even starting to warm to the chestnut squirrel one. I'm hoping that this generation offers some more cool looking pokemon. Lets not even think about some of the last gen's *coughJellicentcough*
So what does this new one have to offer? Other than the new badass legendaries?
Well, japanese magazines have confirmed that you can customise your character using a mirror in game, or at the very least your character's hair style. I think we ALL have been waiting for some sort of character customizing in the games, or was that just me?
Also, they are completely changing the gamming style, there will be actual 3d characters and animations, so no more of the classic 2d pokemon sprites we have all come to know as the classic pokemon handheld style games. This opens up a whole world of possibilities for the player, for instance more environmental immersion, you can swing on vines, climb, etc.
Also, it has been shown that you can at least RIDE some pokemon. Using a Ryhorn to smash boulders or ride a gogoat (new pokemon) as a bike style. If they allowed you to open and let your pokemon be in the world with you - aka soul silver and heart gold - I think that would be a wonderful addition, lets face it we all loved seeing a charizard walk behind us in those games.
There's also been footage of new battle styles, for instance Sky Battles - a new type of battle which you can only use flying types or pokemon who know the ability levitate for, bringing a whole new type of strategy into play. Much better than the classic "Oh just add one more pokemon to a battle" theme they had going on. There's also a chance to get ambushed by a whole pack of wild pokemon all at the same time, for a 1v5 pokemon battle with all 5 pokemon out at the same time attacking you.
And the final thing on my mind for this game right now..... the new type, Fairy Type... I won't lie I am a bit shakey about this. They had a nice balance with the pokemon types they had, adding one more may be a gamble. They also made Fairy type pokemon and attacks super effective against dragon type pokemon, how does that work? Or more importantly, how will this effect the overview of dragon types in general? One of the most attractive things about dragon types was their resistance to every other type except themselves and ice. So far Jigglypuff, Gardevor, Marril and Sylveon have been confirmed to be fairy types, but not clafairy? really? and how the hell is Marill a fairy!? Its a floatation ball! Looks wonderful for a water type but not so sure on the fairy thing, but I'll try to keep an open mind on it.
So whats your thoughts on this? good? bad? anything you wish to say about the game?
