Life has ways of setting you in your place sometimes. Had some rocky parts with a close friend, it's really thrown me for a loop lately. We finally had a big throw-down, letting it all loose. We're still friends, but I was just . . . flat. Felt like my world was ending.

Then there's a huge thunderstorm outside. I sit and watch it. I guess you could call it meditating. Didn't think of anything, just enjoyed the beauty of nature's fury. I still don't feel all that upbeat, but the world isn't over anymore. I don't know where I'm going, but I can't let one thing stop me, no matter how big it was.

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
