Anthrocon Info! Come be my friend!
I guess it's my turn to do this now!
Dates attending:
I'm arrive on Thursday the 4th, leaving Monday.
Rooming with:
Mat Sherer of Badly Drawn Kitties. (This does mean we can provide crash space to some, but it's an only-if-you're-cool thing.)
How do you want to be addressed:
Chrispy is the default. Any non-slur is fine. I'm just happy if someone wants to talk to me. *sniff*
Gender:
Dude.
Age:
33
Appearance:
Typical cartoonist model 3C. 5'10", 172 lbs, long brown hair, glasses, bit o' beard, wearing the same nice-ish shirts I always wear at cons. Photo here: http://chrispco.blogspot.com/
Where can I find you?
I'll be at table N19 (in the right front corner) of the Dealer's Den most of the time. During off hour, I'll likely be 5th-wheeling with some close-knit group of friends, working on commissions somewhere or dying alone in my room. (Depends on if my doctors choose to medicate me for this trip.)
Purpose for attending?
Debuting Precocious book two, and selling other fancy things! Also want to start making more art friends, as it's about time for me to stop being so shy about this stuff.
Do you draw commissions?
I intend to! I *love* doing table commissions. Since I'll be fighting this pain condition, likely without much medical help, I'll be much slower than usual and won't take on as many as normal, but I'll do what I can! (See me early!)
Do you do requests?
My health isn't good, so I don't have the full energy to draw freebie stuff on top of commissions.
Do you do trades?
I'd like to do some art/book trades with some dealer types! I can be tempted by others, but remember I'm facing lots of medical bills this year. Gotta focus on earning what I can.
What merchandise are you offering?
Precocious books one and two will be available. I will be doing table commissions; mostly badges and half-page pieces. I'll have artist trading cards, original artwork and original comic pages for sale too! (If you want an original page, let me know which one so I can be sure to bring it.) Buttons, charms, sketch cards and magnets will also be there!
Art in the art show?
Not this year.
Can I talk to you?
Absolutely! I'm happy to chat with everyone. Just remember that I'm a dealer, so I will have to pop out of the conversation at times to greet folks, make sales and take commissions. It's not a slight, we all gotta do it to make up the costs of the table.
Can I take pictures of you?
Sure. Makes me feel like a big man. (Just ask first, and no sliding the camera under the bathroom stall. Again.)
Can I touch/hug/cuddle you?
Assume no. You may ask, but assume no even if you ask. If you are in a fursuit, assume hell no.
Can I hang out with you?
Always a possibility! I won't know my schedule/health situation until next week, but you can certainly ask.
Do you go to parties?
If I'm at a party, it's because I'm severely ill and I've stumble into the wrong room. Please call an ambulance. (During off hours, I'll either be arting hard, or resting so I can art hard later. Or, uh, making sure the flowers in my Animal Crossing town don't die.)
What's the best way to reach you?
Come by the table in the dealer's den!
Daily activities:
Wake, worry, eat, draw forever, skip lunch, pray someone brings me food, draw forever again, dinner with peeps. draw forever, panic attack, sedation, sleep.
Can I buy you/bring you things?
Yes. Yes! SOMETIMES THAT IS THE ONLY WAY I CAN EAT! Fancy candy is a great way to my heart (non-US people bringing their special candy get put on the "don't kill" list) and I'm still waiting for someone to bring me some C4! (That is, a C4 Copic sketch marker. I refuse to buy one for myself.)
Anything else?
I'm extra-fragile this year. Normally I adore grinding out art like a madman at conventions, but if I try that this year I may end up in the emergency room. There may be some down hours for me, and I apologize in advance if it interferes with a chance at a commission. This also means morale boosting is even more vital! Say nice things to me! Throw money at me! Otherwise I'll cry.

Since I prefer to not get killed is there a certain kind of candy you prefer? Austrian/European maybe?
I had a great deal of fun last year sampling British confections, brought from
I'll never say no to Turkish delight and Crunchie bars, but I'd love to sample some Austrian specialties! When I visited Austria, my brother ate so many Manner wafers he made himself sick. (I was spared because I don't like hazelnut stuff as much.)
It all brings back happy memories of that trip, when we would sneak the candies from the hostel front desks to eat back home. For years my wall was decorated with those shiny candy wrappers.
