I like all colours, even the ones I haven't seen yet!
But it depends on context. When it comes to colours I surround myself with IRL - clothes, furniture, etc - they tend to be white, grays, and deep saturated reds and blues and mixes thereof. I have a hunch these also pop up more in my FA art than, say, light brown or green, but I'm not sure and I can't be arsed to check...
Yes, I see. :)
mmm I generally enjoy greens and taupes in my surroundings. however, white is the most interesting to me,
and therefor I concern myself with it more than with others. It helps me think, and that is the most important thing to me, in the world. Inspiration and thought. ^^
Interesting! I understand, and sort of agree: White is the most promiment colour in my home; all the walls and ceilings are white, and I don't have much furniture. My own take on it is that to me, white feels more like an absence of colour - it's the necessary neutral background for me to apply select bits of design and colour on*. As Fabien Baron once put it, "you can think more freely in rooms that are almost empty".
*This is totaly different in my art, where white tends to be rare.
Haha for me, I draw inspiration from the colour of the atmosphere in a room.
whatever. Being an antiques enthusiast, my apartment is full of junk
Especially in dreams that I have, I often only remember the colour atmosphere. hmmm.
yes, as I said, this is why white fascinates me. :)
A colour which is composed of all colours combined, including those not visible to man,
put together, create a recessive colour which stands for nothingness and blankness. beautiful. ^^
Nice! I'm a midcentury modern enthusiast myself ;D
White is funny like that; it's all other colours combined yet they cancel each other out. I suppose we rarely (if ever) see pure white, there's always light reflecting off something, giving the white whatever we look at a slight tint of that something. But I digress (into territory I'm not even sure is steady ground, haha).
Purple, a strange relationship with it, it sorta happened over time and I realised that much like my personality my favourite colour had shifted to the exact opposite side of the spectrum.
White intimidates me.
I tend to gravitate towards black and blue, for it's gentle and unimposing nature, and its intimacy. Reminds me of the dense currents of the deep sea.
Any hue between red and green, and all shades of grey in a metaphoric and garish penchant for transistory states.
Oh, but I have too. Nothing is more terrifying than seeing the colour disappear in the sea, to give way to the absolute darkness of the abyssal slope. But therein lies my fascination for it too. It holds so many powerful metaphors, the irrational allure of its embrace is frightening, as is its unstoppable and uncontrollable nature. And I'm not that surprised. As a freediver, the dangers of the deep must be very much real to you (and I applaud you for delving into it).
Black or red for me :3 I really like black as it always seems to be left out of many things when it says "CHOOSE YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR" and what not, I like red because it stands for so many things :3
brown! because that's what you get when you mix all your paints together ;P
I also really like tertiary colors, probably because they're like compromises between other colors.
Mine...I stll cannot choose between green, black and violet. I love them all the same.
Green - because it reminds me of my childhood
Black - because it's all colors in one
Violet - because it matches with green pretty well.
Mmmmmm I like that.
The colour of my childhood... probably grey, dark green, tan and pastels.
I grew up on a building site int eh middle of the forrest haha
very dark blue, because it's just... perfect. it both contrasts with and complements my complexion, and it's not black which means something, but it's not a brighter colour which is also likely to mean something. it's calming to look at and dark enough not to register as a point of attention. if i'm asked to justify my like of blue, i can say that the blue can represent a lot of things in nature like water, the night sky, all of which i find aesthetically pleasing to look at. but it can also mean nothing. when i was young i read a sci-fi novel that declared that infinity is coloured blue. when i imagine infinity, a very dark blue is what i imagine was being described. anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk
Wow, interesting!
Very nice, yes.
Blue is the opposing colour to red, and reminds us of the ultra violet light that
provoked positive emotion in our common ancestor. :)
sorry,
I tend to over anylise things xD

that's interesting. :)

for the same reason, blacks and blues tend to intimidate me.
I have a natural fear of depth (ironically, I freedive).
yes.
(beautiful language that you use. :) )
