Megaplex Recap

Where do I begin?
Outright, this has become one of the most best weekends of my life. From the time I was there, to when it time to leave, I couldn't fathom how much Megaplex did for me as a person. I know this is my first con, but this was truly an amazing experience since I started coming to the meets. I can't say enough how thankful I am to have the friends that I've already made and to make new ones that made Megaplex so special to me.
-Thursday-
It was a pretty chill day, I brought in a bottle a Johnnie Walker Green Label to share with friends and those at the #432 party. After picking up my con badge and chilling in
's room,

and I went out to Cracker Barrel to grab something to eat.
Afterwards, we all went to the bowling meet, which was a blast. I was mostly going around taking pictures of the suiters, and oh my god, were they all adorable. There I met
and
for the first time, they were great to hang with throughout the con. After I was done taking pictures and nearly breaking my ankle, I put in a round of bowling (which I actually did suck at this time) and got my air hockey on. I later did some catching up with other meet regulars like

and
.
After a late night meal at Micky D's with Fudge, Gir, and Rabu, I called it a night and went home.
-Friday-
Friday, my god! What an awesome day! Hanging around the con space for opening ceremonies which was great. Trying to avoid paying for parking multiple time, Fudge, Gir, their friend Tony, and I walked to Hooters for lunch. Yea, it was fucking hot! Didn't really do much other than mingle around the dealers den, which surprisingly I didn't buy a thing. Then it was time to work, FUCK!

Ok, I'm back, short day, YAY! This is when started to kick for me. went up to the #432 party and started to get plastered. In a span of 20 minutes, I had CHUGGED 3 pints of beer, and taken 4 shots of whiskey. I don't know how, I don't want to question how, but I somehow was able to keep my composure through the night. I bit later, I originally was going downstairs to catch
's set, but then I had the audacity of going to the hotel bar and sit at the same table with
cerberus(Tirrel), Xzadfor, thedoggygal and Momlando. Mind I tell you I was still drinking, 3 Long Islands of course. Yet I was able to retain 80% of the conversations we had, and have a lovely time with everybody at the table. After, everyone decided to go to bed (ORLANDO!) I went over to catch a bit of darrenfox set to dance some of this alcohol out of me, only to put some back in at the suite. Not much more after that for the day.
-Saturday-
I woke up at 7:30am, walked out and for some reason, never felt my head exploded, what a miracle. Went to get breakfast and caught up sitting around with foxalbiazul lonewolfraven grandmaster and others. Later on, I went to the fursuit parade which was really fun taking pictures of the suiters. Chatted around with Rieshal and Sibir (who btw, has a super adorable otter suit). I was able to get the super sponsor lunch, and boy, was it delicious. Got to meet and spend time with
innouva such a chill guy. Next up was the Japanese Game Show Experience. It was such a cool panel, in fact, it was the only one I found worth watching. Unfortunately, I had to go back to work.
*Elevator music during work*
Had to close the bar by myself, damn! It really sucked since I missed most of Kaiza's set, but when I got there, I danced the hell out of that set. Later, I chilled with
roukan and others right by the pool. I then hung out with Rieshal and Sibir as well as other Miami furs for a late night meal at Stake N Shake, before ultimately heading to bed.
-Sunday-
This was a much more relaxing day. After watching the fursuit games that morning, I was able to have some amazingly delicious sushi up at the sponsor's lounge, which is pretty much where I spent the entire day up until the closing ceremonies. The best part of that day was that I got to enjoy some delicious pizza from Giordano's with Orlando, Momlando, Sibir, Rieshal,
musicofluie
kittystarpaw Such a great time spending time with them and getting to know them more, though while they were drawing masterpieces, I ended up drawing up this piece of crap. All in all, I had a great time, and I got a sweet drawing from Orlando.
Afterwards, we got back in time for the nighttime fursuit parade, then on to the Dead Dog party in which of course Kaiza killed it enough for me to spin cones around my paws. In an effort to prolong the inevitable, I went with Izzy, Kaiza as well as some of the Melbourne furs like Darren,
dguy6789 &
mekvyper to a final sendoff at Denny's. After saying my goodbyes, it was time to head home.
-Monday-
Not an actual con day, and I missed the chance to see
izzywolfram
grandmaster
xbit
rondogator
toklankitsune
matoakit ride White Lightning in fursuit, but I did end up riding it 55 times and witnessing Dante break the park record with 101 times.
Again, I can't thank everyone enough on here,
blueneko
kryphosdrgn for the awesome #432 suite parties, and those I missed or couldn't name for contributing to being such a great first con experience for me. The Marriot was just perfect for the convention. (Fun fact: I tried applying for a front desk spot just shortly before Megaplex in that same property)
My only regrets were that A) I didn't drink enough (surprisingly I didn't at all Saturday and Sunday) B) There were some that I said we were gonna meet, but didn't (I do sincerely apologize) and C) I'm still as shy as I was a few months ago, and if it weren't for those who approached me while I was alone, I would've had a less glamorous experience.
I can't wait to go again, I can't wait to go to FWA, or possibily MFF if work and cash allows. I can't wait to get my fursuit done. So many promising things coming up that AHHHH.
And one last thing: One of the main events of Megaplex 2014:
rubycanine vs.
foxamoore in a classic game of pool, THE REMATCH, ONLY ON PAY-PER-VIEW

You are a very sweet person!
We should do art trades sometimes! :) If you would like to!
Thank you, you all are really sweet
Art trade? Pfff, LOL, my art is nowhere near as good as you for it to be a fair trade. But sure, I'm open to that
